Well for the next issue of GDW I was planning on bringing back the Round Table Discussion - dubbed, by Neo-Dragon, a 'text-cast' - back. This time however, I would like to try to conduct it a little differently. As I now have access to a microphone I'd like to attempt to do it podcast style - that is, with audio, rather than text.

What I need for this, though, is several volunteers.

First of all I have need of two or three developers from around the community - though anyone with an opinion about events in the Game Development section is welcome to volunteer.

I will also need one person to be a 'proctor'. The proctors of the discussion will oversee what is being said - though they are free to discuss, as well - and make sure that the discussion isn't going to far off-topic, and is kept appropriate for this board. I will also be taking the place of a proctor, so if none volunteer for this position there is no harm done.

If you volunteer for either position, you are agreeing to follow these basic guidelines:

    • To respect the opinions of others involved in the discussion at hand.
    • To keep your language appropriate for our audience. (No cursing...)
    • Criticism must be kept constructive.

This discussion will take place most likely next weekend, for those interested.

NOTE: Decisions as to who will take part will be at my, and only my, discretion.

I DO!, but do I have the prestige? I want to be in the discussion

edit: IDK now, I think Ill pass

I would like to do it but I can't really since even if I have a microphone I think i'm a little too young for these discussions.

Well I am posting something similiar to what you posted. So it isn't really mean I was just pointed out that I wanted to help but couldn't.

Well that wasn't very nice. Darkarceus just said he would like to help but thinks he is too young for that.
You didn't have to say that.

again people post something irrevelant to the topic at hand.... This is why I'm fed up with this community... Because posts like this, and when i say something some little kid reports me and I gat a infraction or whatever.

Do you have any idea what the topic is? Or is it broad GD Discussion?

    I would love to!
I have a mic, as long as it's not just pokémon development, and not just about RMXP, I would love to be able to share reasons for using Game Maker, and even tell about what it could do!

How will this be done? I believe MSN allows for group voice chat, then someone could just record it.(Obviously with good settings not with the microphone near the speaker XD)

I'll be up for it yaou if ya want, just vm me. this actually looks kind of intresting as a new twist to the GDW. can't wait to see how this turns out.

The discussions held will mostly depend on the people participating, so there is no worrying about there only being a focus on certain tools and franchises. :P

Skype will be used most likely, with me recording the group chat. MSN and me don't always get along... -_-

    Alright cool!

*Plots changing the subject to GM and his games *

Oh you're a sneaky one, you are...

And are there any other volunteers?

If you ever return to the text format, I'd love to take part in this. I'm not a fan of talking over microphones, though...

Good luck with this, looking forward to hearing it!

Well, this time I'll probably stick with audio, just to try it out, I'll keep you in mind, however, if I decide to use the text-format I'll contact you.
