Gen 0 Game

First, this is not my idea. I found it somewhere else, but I didn't find it here, so I wanted to see what the community thinks.
Second, I didn't found it, which doesn't mean a real thread existed sometime before. I also had problems choosing the right section, mods, is your decision if this was the correct one.


NAO, on topic. The Gen 0 game, as far as I remember, would be pretty different if comparing to the current. It would be a pokémon RPG, but the player would incarnate Elm, Birch, Rowan or Juniper. Having Oak there is a bit different. There would be no pokédex, and the player would draw the pokémon in the touch screen. Instead of pokéballs, the player would craft them with Apricorns.

That's all I remember. If anyone of you remembers anything else, please comment it.

If anyone else is aware of the GRAMPS conspiracy theory, how different would it be to play as GRAMPS instead of the other professors?

But yes, the concept is very cool, it'd be better if a more experienced hacker was making the game, though.

I actually quite like the sound of this since it could potentially be a lot of fun, providing there was a lot more to it than just the stuff that's been mentioned. Sounds more like a spinoff game though.

Chronologically, it would be before the main games. Any professor you'd play as would be young, with many discoveries to be made.
Firefly, how'd you find all this? They are useful anyhow.
Anyone else who didn't comment, please do. This Gen0 is quite special, and History is something we need in pokemon.

I searched it on google, haha. Also I feel like some people are getting the wrong opinion about the game, it's not prehistoric times or anything, it's essentially 50 years in the past, so there would probably only be differences to things like technology and landscape; it's likely the Pokemon League is still a thing, and crime such as team rocket [probably started around this time or earlier, since Giovanni [who is 30-40]'s mother most likely founded team rocket, and she's a generation before him.

This looks pretty interesting...
Well... something like that was meant to happen after we have seen young Oak in Celebi's movie using that Apricorn :D
It could be an interesting idea for a hack but I doubt it will be made officially since GF goes from past to future with no returns.
