Just release R/B via Virtual Console. That way, the game is readily accessible on the 3DS and more money and effort can be spent on making new games. At the most, I think they should include a way to transfer pokémon from R/B into current gen games and include offline and online functionality.

Yeah, dream on. It's literally impossible to trade Pokémon from RBY into the newest games, as they're coded entirely differently. Sure, I guess, they could change the games, themselves, to use the modern coding for stats and have online functionality, but at that point, you're basically doing a complete overhaul of RBY's engine, anyways, so why not just make a remake instead of putting all of that effort into a game that will still look like this?
