Hello, I am in need of some help. I downloaded this Generation 8 pack ((broken link removed)) because I really wanted to add gen 8 to my game. I got everything working perfectly (the sprites, the PBS, the moves/abilities, etc), except for 1 major problem. When I load up my game, the team I used (from before I added gen 8) has their movesets completely mixed up. Here's an example.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the moves.txt file in the PBS folder. I wasn't expecting this to mess up my save file though. If anyone has any solutions then I would highly appreciate it because it ruins the files of others who played my game, (at least once I update it).
I really want to add gen 8 to my game, but I don't wanna ruin the progress of others.

This is because the new moves.txt uses different numbers of moves.
For example, in your old moves.txt, the move Brutal Swing may have number 152, and in the new moves.txt, it has number 652.
The thing is, savegames store numbers, and not complete PokeBattle_Move instances. So the move stored in your savegame will refer to the corresponding number in your old moves.txt, and not the new one. Switching to the new moves.txt makes the old numbers refer to the wrong moves.

I'm not sure I make myself clear ^^"

Yea I figured that much already, but thanks for making it clear. Is there any way I can keep my normal moves on the new save file with gen 8? If not, then do you have any other ideas that keeps the old save file the same, or at least close to the same.

[Edit] Never mind I decided to just revamp most of the game.
