I have a very stupid question, but since I'm a beginner, I believe it'll work out. Alright, I'm trying to insert a character in the game. I know how to do that fully: tools - database - hero (I use RMXP). Then I have to select a graphic for my character. But herein lies the problem. When I finally find the CharSet that I need and press okay (for it to preview as a graphic) it will always be surrounded by a color and will be facing an opposing way.
When I test the game, the character will, as in the hero tab, be surrounded by a color halo, and the mouvements of the characters will be as if a piece of paper (with still it's white background) is moving and the characters movement don't look natural. Plus, when I try to go a direction, my sprite will be facing an adjacent position (while still moving in the direction I want. So, character moves to the right, but the face of the sprite is indicated at the adjacent position, or at an opposite - moves right, face is up). The surrounding color is also present on the sprite, so we can't see the background tiles (looks very unreal, pasted even).
Now , I need help in trying to figure out my problem. I think I know how to solve this, but I don't want to make a mistake, while someone better than me at this could give me the right answer of how to fix my problem.
