    --------------------------

These sprites were ripped right from the screenshots on Serebii of the scans of Pokemon Black and White in Japan!

Read the readme of the ZIP file, if you wish to know officially who to give credits to:

For future reference, the sprites included in the attachment are also in the ZIP file...so yeah just download the .ZIP; the images are otherwise just previews.

There in a format for general editting but have been packaged for RPG Maker XP. Figured this could go to this forum or Resources for Game Development.

    --------------------------

    EDIT:
I'm going to fix Mijumaru soon, his head looks a little weird to me right now...

Really good! One question, why didn't you put them in you post, not attachments? you have 122 posts...

Also, they are a little to pixelated.

I don't think this is the right place for this material. I see the ones are supposed to be doubled in the ZIP, but you've left whatever setting that applies antialiasing on. You need to switch to Nearest Neighbour or the equivalent to keep the fidelity.

@ Gol: I thought I did put them as attachments. Attachments are far easier than posting a link to an external website. :/

@ Conan: Hmm...it says PNG; eh, per chance maybe Windows Office screwed my photos up. I tried to stretch them without distorting them too badly, and Paint.NET was not helping me there. Paint doesn't stretch very well either, so I used Office Picture Manager. Looked fine, to me; but oh well thanks anyways! (If by backups, you mean the screenshots; then yes I do have them.)

@ NikNaks: I did any editting in Paint (General Fixing, .PNG) , Paint.NET (Sprite Placement), and Office 2003 Picture Manager (Picture Resize).

EDIT: Coming soon will be the backsprites, which will hopefully look better. I'm going to fix Mijumaru; and try to make it look less blurry I guess...if an Admin thinks this needs to be moved/locked, well then yeah; do it I guess.

Serebii have fixed their pre-release Pokemon page to have better quality sprites of the 5 Pokemon: Tsutaja, Mijumaru, Pokabu, Zorua and Zoroark.

Just thought you might wanna know, so you could retrieve them and work with them.

@ Nik: Thanks, I'll do that tomorrow. For now, my time online is done; because I have a life to attend to. :/

@ Andrew: I don't directly steal Serebii's sprite. I PRNT SCRN their pre-release screenshots and remove the background to make a sprite.

Also expect the files to go down sometime tomorrow, in preparation for my second package of only sprites from Serebii's screenshots and then the same sprites but with the shadows included. :)

I never said to steal them. =(
I was just saying that they removed the sprites from the backgrounds themselves already.

    Sorry I bothered you. =/

I know what the problem is. When you rip a sprite you can't just remove it from the original image, you need to clean it up. I would suggest doing what I did and use the picture as a reference, not a base. It'll turn out looking the same but will have the traits of normal sprites (Outline is one pixel thick, set palette, etc.)

You didn't bother me Andrew, and I was probably a little rash, it just seemed to me what it sounded like, so no problem between us, I think?

@ Conan: I'm not a real good scratch spriter - otherwise I would probably do that. Also, congrats on post #800!

Wow! Those look awesome! I'm not that good of a spriter myself, but you did incredible. 1 question though: Are the sprites small because you want people to put them into hacks? Even then, I think you could've made them a bit bigger, because the smaller the sprite, the more blocky it looks.

Excellent job though, I couldn't have done that!

    1) This is barely even spriting. You haven't made anything. You took screenshots and erased the backgrounds. That's hardly any work. I'd think of it as practically stealing if you try to take credit for these. You've done next to nothing, and it looks like they're still jpeg'd.

    2) You resized them. Why would you do that? You do not resize sprites. You just don't. It doesn't work.

    3) As has been said, these have already been ripped from screenshots, so why does anyone need low-quality, lazily ripped sprites when there are nice, clear ones already readily available?

    Lock Please?

    Thanks Chris!

@ Fairy: Ripped, credits given to Serebii.

Size-issue: They were taken from miniature screenshots.
Stretch: Stretched for immediate use with Pokemon Essentials.
Originality: When I first did these, clearer sprites didn't exist - except for scratch-made.
