Hey guys my school has a cool idea us gr.8 are going to be like pokemon gym leaders/ elite four. my role is the 3rd elite four. my pokemon is suppose to be Lvl 64 - 76. i choose to be ghost type trainer here are my pokes.

    My Signature Pokemon:
    Dream (Sableye) @ N/A
    Level 74 Jolly
    Shadow Ball
    Mach Punch
    Night Shade
    Faint Attack

    Pepper (Dusknoir) @ Leftovers (now)
    Level 64 Careful
    Curse
    Shadow Punch
    Mean Look
    Rest

    Skull (Banette) @ Spell Tag
    Level 68 Jolly
    Shadow Ball
    Night Shade
    Grudge
    Faint Attack

    Bones (Banette) @ N/A
    Level 70 Modest
    Faint Attack

    Psychic

    Dusk (Gengar) @ N/A
    Level 72 Modest
    Thunderpuch
    Icepunch
    ShadowBall

Here is my elite four team. My i though my gengar the punches through emerald MT. I just recently evolve my Duclops to Dusknoir so crappy moves. My two Banette are just to fill up space. And my unexpected pokemon/Sig pokemon Sableye no one ever used Sableye everyone thinks about SpiritBomb because he has no weakness but this little dude has the same but has lower stats though. comments to make my team to make stronger, suggest moves( i have tons of heartscale) i have 2 weeks to submitt my team.

I reckon its a strong team and for the 3rd elite four trainer is good option. I would personally replace one of the bannetes for a misdrevous or misdrevouses evolve(not sure of name).

This section is for competitve battling. You have no ev's, no iv's, no natures and horrible movesets.
Anything works in-gmae, but to succeed in competitve battling, you need to make a lot of changes.

Nice team and awesome school. My school would never do that. They don't even do sports tournaments. JKS.Back on topic. I would suggest Jolly nature on Gengar. This would be able to use his awesome Speed stat. Also, the two elemental punches are Physical so I would scrap those. Not sure what to replace them with though because I've never used one. Check out the thread BobberyJo gave a link to. That will give you some helpful hints abut how best to make your team.

School tourney? Kind of cute I guess.

    Gengar @ Choice Scarf
    Modest
    252 Speed, 252 SpA, 6 HP
    Shadow Ball
    HP Ice
    Thunderbolt
    Focus Blast

Or use the one I use (it's extremely useful)

    Gengar @ Petaya Berry
    Modest
    252 Speed, 252 SpA, 6 HP
    Shadow Ball
    Thunderbolt
    Energy Ball
    Shadow Ball

Lack of Choice means you can counter many things, not just be confined to a single move. I'm gonna try HP Ice > SBall so I can own Garchomp.

Pay heed to my changes, they will work. Use this current team, but start training the Pokemon I listed.

    School tournament. That's cute.

64-76? That's lame. Why can't you use PBR for auto-level?

    My Signature Pokemon:
    Dream (Sableye) @ N/A
    Level 74 Jolly
    Shadow Ball
    Mach Punch
    Night Shade
    Faint Attack

First, when are items not applicable? They're one of the most important aspects of a set.

Second, Sableye sucks. Use something else.

Pepper (Dusknoir) @ Leftovers (He needs Leftovers. Keep em.)
    Level 64 Careful
    Will-o-Wisp
    Shadow Punch/ Shadow Sneak
    Thunderpunch/ Fire Punch
    Rest/ Pain Split

Never put Curse on a Ghost. It's suicidal, and serves little purpose (I'm Cursed? Oh hey, I'll just switch out and completely reset the status!). WoW, on the other hand, does residual damage much better, and cripples any physical attacker that switches in (besides Machamp and Heracross- watch out for them). Mean Look serves no purpose, so replace it with an attack. Shadow Sneak is a priority move, and has its uses. And Pain Split is a nice healing move if you dislike being completely vulnerable for three turns.

    Skull (Banette) @ Spell Tag
    Level 68 Jolly
    Shadow Ball
    Night Shade
    Grudge
    Faint Attack

No Spell Tag. It only increases the power of Ghost moves, of which you only have one.

I'm no expert on Banette, but that entire set sucks. Shadow Ball is Special, coming off of Banette's 83 base SAtk. Night Shade does a set amount of damage, which Banette doesn't need. Grudge sucks, and Faint Attack is completely unnecessary.

    Bones (Banette) @ N/A
    Level 70 Modest
    Faint Attack
    Calm Mind
    Thunderbolt
    Shadow Ball

Psychic sucks on anything that doesn't get STAB from it. It has virtually no coverage. Go with Shadow Ball.

Like I said, I'm no expert with Banette. But this set at least isn't too terrible, so I dunno what to say.

Dusk (Gengar) @ Life Orb/ Wide Lens
    Level 72 Timid
    Thunderbolt
    Hypnosis
    ShadowBall
    Focus Blast

No Punches. Remember the physical/special split introduced in DP? The punches are physical now, which means they can't do crap coming off of Gengar's base 65 Atk. Also, remember what I said above about Psychic.

I've used this set with a good amount of success. Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, and Focus Blast take care of anything in front of Gengar, and Hypnosis takes care of those you can't OHKO. Life Orb works best, but Wide Lens works if you dislike the accuracy of Focus Blast and Hypnosis.

Overall, not a great team. It's murdered by Weavile and Tyranitar, but I understand that comes with the territory. Still, learn to EV train. How this thread was approved, I'll never know...

You need a little more walling, or at least some sturdy Pokes. CM Mismagius is your friend, scrap BOTH Banettes. Scrap Sableye; use Spiritomb NAO. QUOTE: "And my unexpected pokemon/Sig pokemon Sableye no one ever used Sableye everyone thinks about SpiritBomb because he has no weakness but this little dude has the same but has lower stats though." OK...so if he has lower stats.....WHY are you going to use him? Make Dusknoir physically oriented and Spiritomb specially oriented (in terms of walling power), or vice versa. With just two MIXED walls, you're not going to be switching on anything. If you REALLY don't want to scrap Banette, then Scarf it, although I wouldn't reccomend it. Honestly, a Ghost team isn't a good idea. There are only TWO good ghost candidates for a physical sweeper, and both aren't very good, anyway. Scarf Banette has a nonexistant movepool, but is strong. Froslass is faster, weaker, packs a punch when CB'd, and actually has a decent movepool. Use it. airconditioning and KingTyranitar pretty much covered the rest in terms of movesets, EV spreads, weaks, etc. etc.
