Giratina debate

I did this part of my Origin of Pokemon too. :P

Dialga and Palkia are never supposed to cross paths (according to the Darkrai Movie), and the reason for it is because of the massive distortion it causes in the corresponding areas of where they meet. Early after the First Creation, when the creative auras infused into the greater Legends had not yet settled, they did find each other. The result of the battle was the removal and screwing up of a large area of Earth, and the appearance of the Torn World (distortion, whatever) and Giratina at the exact point of contact of the Space/Time guardian's unbridled power.
Giratina's nature was generally to keep to itself, until Dialga and Palkia got near. Then it would get incredibly angry, having inherited a grudge(?) against the other from each pokemon.

so, IMHO, It's the combined essence of Dialga and Palkia when used in an extremely destructive way. In a more applicable way, it's not neccesarily a Guardian, but as the only thing there It decided the Torn World was it's personal domain.

Note that I have not yet seen the Sky Warrior movie, and haven't decided why Palkia/Dialga hate each other. I might update it when I do.

I need to know something about Giratina. My friend says that it is like the devil of pokemon, but I think that it is more of a guardian of the dead pokemon. I need answers!

neither. guardian of the reverse world.

It should be stated that it resembles 666, the number of Satan, no? Giratina has six legs, six protrusions on its wings, and six "arms". 666.

As a Methodist, that does come to mind...

I say it also represents Black Matter or Alternate Dimensions/Parallel Universes. The 666 theory works too.

Oh sorry, I guess I forgot to apply real world physics to a world where six foot turtles shoot water out of a cannon on their backs.

:cer_shifty:

That's getting sigged! :P

I think of Giratina as being the god of "parallel universes" or something. And this parallel universe is called the torn world because...something happened here to save the world, and that didn't happen in the torn world? :D i dunno.

HOLY CRAP! SOMEONE PAID ATTENTION TO NUMERICAL STRUCTURES!

It's probably just coincidence. Coincidence is God's way of remainig anonymous. Or in this case, Arceus. As said by Albert Einstein.

Giratina was a failed attempt to scare us all.

Well, the whole dimension thing doesn't make much sense, because that's what palkia does. Giratina lives in a bizzare alternate reality on the reverse side of ours...think about that. REVERSE. AS in opposite. So it's an opposite of our world, or an "antiworld". This leads to my theory of Giratina, which is that it is the god of antimatter, or chaos.

Gamefreak made Pokemon descriptions of Giratina so vague just so this would happen. You're all over-analyzing this! Giratina, based off of the movie, is simply the guardian of the Torn World. Positioned there to protect it and keep balance since the Torn World and the Real world support each other. END OF STORY.

Its safe to say its based on Parallel Universes and opposites. Look at shiny Giratina compared to normal Giratina. Its exactly inverted

Yeah, it was Pokémon Wiki. Which is much worse.
I always thought Giratina was just the ruler of the Distortion World. But may I suggest this site or even this site?

EXCUSE ME? Bulbapedia is one of the most reliable Wikis on Pokemon. Just try to disprove me. Just TRY.

It's the god of Dimension, it cures the real world of pollution. It's simply the yang to earths ying. Arceus is the god of all 3 dragons, they are it's subornates.

You completely misunderstood me. The Pokémon Wiki sucks. If I thought Bulbapedia was unreliable, why, oh why, would I link to it?

They don't directly state he is the God of Death but they suggest it...

It is suggested with the Armor it wears and what is said at Turnback Cave...

"This is...

That where life sparkles...
That where life has faded...

A place where two worlds overlap..."

"Where life sparkles" is the Real World...
"Where life has faded" is the Distortion World...

Not to mention the fact that Turnback Cave is littered in Ghost Pokémon...

I support the thought that Giratina is the God of Death... and I believe it...

Why else would he be Ghost typed? But nintendo officials that it has to do with Black matter/ anti matter in an interview. There was a different term for it but I cant remember.

"It was banished for its violence. It silently gazed upon the old world from the Distortion World."
-- Platinum Pokedex Entry

Its violence? Well pokedex entries are always a bit iffy but whatever. I would think so i mean its smile s very joker like and menacing and it would seem it has a very dark humor in the form of violence. Lets not forget that it looks like a freaking flying catepillar of death.

I only know that Giratina is able to control all dimensions
besides those of time and space. That's why Dialga (time) seems
to be more superior than Giratina in the 11th movie.
The most that Giratina was able to do was to pull Dialga into his
home dimension and take part of a brawl with Dialga.
Dialga is shown to be more superior than Giratina by
setting a continous loop of time in Giratina's dimension,
thus trapping Giratina.

I wouldn't start calling Giratina a "filler pokemon";
no one has yet seen the 12th movie.

Way to provide spoilers. I haven't seen the movie yet, and now I don't want to.

Anyway, how is Giratina a filler pokemon, if it controls dimensions the way Palkia controls space or Dialga controls time?

Not to mention it has its own game

I actually support the theory that initially, Giratina was only meant to be a Ghost-type legendary that ruled afterlife (yes, AKA heck). But after D/P and while creating the plot of Platinum, the designers decided to make Giratina more interesting.
So, whether Giratina is ruler of the dead, or a lonely beast roaming in a bizarre dimension, or a 3rd embodyment of Arceus with an unknown purpose, Nothing is for certain. The R/S/E plot was much more easy to understand, but when they decided to mess with time, space and the 4(+) dimensions of universe, things messed up real badly.
Seriously, what is the 5th gen. going to be about? Hyperstring theory and black holes? What about the rule that pokemon should be simple?
