Something thats been bothering me for awhile now, and talking to my kid who keeps asking me why Team -blank- and team -other blank- Are evil. And why they should die. lol.

The different "teams" in the pokemon games I have noticed... aren't evil, or bad... Except in the anime. But in the games themselves, they are simply organised criminals. Not necessarily bad. Like Team Magma and Aqua, they were actually coming from a good place. Magma wanted more land for people to live on, Aqua wanted more water for food, life and pokemon.

Team Rocket didn't so much have the whole good guy alternative, except in the Anime Jesse and James always messup and make things better. Pretenious you betcha, but not evil. They talk big, thats about the extent of their crimes.

I don't actually remember the "Team" In GSC, and I don't have DP yet, so Galaxy is also unknown to me. But I am willing to bet they aren't like "Team I torture and kill your family, to eat them" kinda bad. They would be the Team in Pokemon not gonna happen, and Pokemon won't see this game. lol

Anyone else wonder about these guys, cuz if they were bad like oh idk... Russian Mafia, Yakuza, or the Italian Mob.. Would the trainer one be willing to beat them so easily, and two see their next birthday? lol. It's my belief that the teams are not evil, but simply misunderstood. An Anti-Disestablishmentarianism, to whatever lack of government there is in Pokemon.. (over thinking it maybe) But any government that would allow a 13-15 year old kid to fight mobsters, instead of even sending in officer jenny... has issues.

Oh I know, the comic was awesome. And ... GOOD. lol. Jesse and James get married in the end, Brock brings all the ladies to the yard. My example is the games though.

I rather own all the poke special manga rather then to watch the series of anime, serious its way more focus on the games better, and theres actually VIOLENCE for once.

That was Team Magma and Aqua's goal? I just thought they wanted to put rocks into the volcano and dumb stuff like that =O... I really should start paying more attention to the text.

Darn you, Team Rocket! You ruined the reputation of themed originated groups forever!

You can't even call them bad guy's because in there eyes the rest of the world are bad guy's so it's like the Ying-Yang theory "In every Yang there's a bit of Ying and in a Ying there's a bit of Yang"!

Pokemon is aimed at kids. The whole strategy concept in the games is to please older kids. The story in the games are also probably aimed at kids. If you wanna see how evil team rocket can be, read the manga :x (They tortured Prof. Oak :O) Team rocket was in GSC.

They tortured prof Oak =O woah, I didn't know that o_o
.. Also, in the Manga I've heard something about Team Rocket killing a Marowak mother or something..
They are tons of evil in the Manga, but in the anime their just.. annoying >.>

[ like Jesse & James always popping in at the wrong place, wrong time:paranoid: ]

well if they were truly evil in the games, the game would probably be rated "T" or something and moms wouldnt wanna buy the game for their 10 year old child or whatever, and nintendo would lose one of its major demographics. i wish they were really evil, and you could like kill them with your pokemon, that would be awesome but if that were true, pokemon wouldn be for kids. it would be for insane, blood thirsty teenagers.

That is if your mom speaks English. I can't tell you how many times I've seen kid con their poor mothers into buying them GTA. Of course I always point out the fact that those game are rated M for a reason. (Basically I make a gun sign with my fingers and go "Pow! Pow!". They always get the message.)

Back on topic, yeah if Team whatever was truly evil, the games would be rated T.

Prof. Oak was tortured? That's something I didn't know.

Anyways, yea, Magma and Aqua were pretty misunderstood. People thought they wanted to bring the end of the world or something, while Magma thought that they could use Groundon to create more land for Pokemon and humans to live on, while Aqua wanted to increase the amount of water people could use for whatever means.

Team Rocket and Galactic, now they were evil. Rocket wanted to increase their military power by means of stealing and experimenting on Pokemon so they can take control of the world military and economy for Giovanni. Galactic didn't even know their leader's real purpose until when he created the red chain. He kept on muttering about there being strife in the world that was destroying the light, then they knew he wanted to leave them all to die (even the Pokemon) so he can rule over a new universe by using Dialga/Palkia to morph reality.

Yeah, Team aqua wanted to help the water pokemons and Team magma wanted to bring more land for people and pokemons to live. I prefer team magma cause team aqua only wanted to help the pokemons and team magma wanted to help both pokemons and people.
Also, I bet the groudon is better than Kyogre!

No Aqua, wanted more resources for food also, with so many people polluting the water, it was becoming hard for pokemon to survive, and people to live off the water.

Meh, Koga tried to kill blue so maybe he was gonna show blue's dead body to Oak to get him to help with Mewtwo >_> Showing ur grandson's dead body counts as torture X.x(This is in the manga of course o_o)

IN the Magna, Koga was a hardcore ninja. And obtaining the poison badge, was like something that never happened. Pokemon got rather calm for the video game, and severely for the anime.

They did a similar thing with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If anyone ever read any of those black and whites... omfg... Wartorn future world, mutants were common. They killed anything and everything. I think in one issue Raph lost a hand in a duel with Leonardo. But this is just being used as an example.

Yeah in the comic Koga, Sabrina and Lt. Surge were real bad guys. Like they probally murdered people, and I'm pretty sure Koga did murder people in the comic...he sent a frickin Arbok after Red and Blue to kill them!
