2nd Gen [Gold] Mahogany Town - A Little Help, Please?

    A few days ago, I rediscovered Pokemon Gold. :]

    I am currently in Mahogany Town. I have captured the red Gyrados, completely defeated Team Rocket at their hideout, and received the Glacier badge. However, I have not received a call from Professor Oak regarding Team Rocket at Goldenrod City; and the Rage Candybar salesman still will not let me continue on my way -- except instead of trying to sell the candy, he tells me they are sold out and he is going to leave soon.

    ...What do I do? Am I missing something? D:

    By Team Rocket's base, do you mean the basement hideout in the Mahogany Town store? If you do, I already met up with Lance and defeated them. They left the town, and the salesman still won't let me pass.

    I beat all of the Team Rocket members in Mahogany Town.

    Any suggestions?

    This is where my l33t G/s/c Skills come in, you have to go to goldenrod and they'res a radio tower -_- you have to beat that part :D and then the salesman is gone x) Gl And you also gotta beat the 7th gym badge.

    Oh I just realized you got the badge and you know about Team rocket why don't you just try going in goldenrod and seeing if you mightve missed the call and if the rockets are there.

    yeah i never got a call. go to goldenrod or go to the lake of rage if that doesnt work.

    So I went to the Radio Tower in Goldenrod. There was one lone Team Rocket member outside the building who told me to "scram." When I went inside, there was nothing out of the ordinary. There was a man (not Team Rocket) who informed me that I could not pass through a door; but if I remember correctly, I believe he may have been there before.

    When I went back to Mahogany Town, the salesman was still there. D:
     
    Have you got the badges in Olivine and Cianwood? Because you must have 7 badges to get the Radio Tower event and make the salesman disappear
     
    I usually miss the Olivine badge XD so I only have six when I should have seven
     
    That was it; I missed the Olivine and Cianwood badges. As soon as I got my seventh badge, I received the call and wiped out Team Rocket. ;D
