2nd Gen Gold/Silver/Crystal Monotype Challenge

i would like to join in on the fun. I'm going to run a Water Monotone run with Crystal. I would've ran a Dark type Monotone, but it wasn't available ~.~ I'll try to keep everything updated ^^.

Start of the Journey:

Challenge: Water Monotone

Name: MiZ (short for Mike or Michael)
Starter: Totodile

Obtained the PokeDex. Then I ran into my Rival. Dropped him.
Rival Name: BiZ (friend of mine here at the school. BiZ and MiZ...lol)

So talked to mom and the update is done. New update will come soon.

got boat ticket, went to vermilion, bet surge with meganium and nothing else than meganium

, beat that stupid psychics in saffron, had some problems here

Update #2

Back on the roll here.

Started the game back up again and caught Wooper and Polwag. Bellspourt is my current HMSlave

After running around, I beat Faulker and grabbed the first badge. And heading for the second one.

Totodile is Croconaw Now! w00t.

--Reached Azalea Town and kicked TeaM RockeT out of their boots.
Fought Bugsy. Only problem was her Scyther and Fury Cutter ~.~ But I got it down with Poliwaq.

And who do I run into again...

That irritation I call Bayleef >.<. After the Hypnosis/DoubleSlap/Water Gun combo, I finally got him down to par.

That ends my 2nd update. 2 badges, and also, I have a Slowpoke Now. ^^

- found out that you can't wake up snorlax with the marsh music from 18,5 and need the pokeflute from 20
- went through digletts cave and beat brock with ease (of course)

- headed south and arrvived at cinnabar island some years later
- met blue there
- surfed back to viridian and beat blue

all of his pokemon except for arcanine and exeggutor died fast to sleepseed from jumpluff who outspeeded even alakazam (and blaines rapidash and everyone in the e4 and so on). arcanine woke up to fast, killed jumpluff, but meganium managed to stop it with eq. exeggutor resists leech seed, so i killed it with victrebels slugebomb, victreebell luckily survived the psychic exeggutor threw at it because it woke up when i switched
- beat blaine. sleep+seed, then switch to meganium and earthquake. none of his pokemon was a problem with this strategy.

now i got 15 badges and theres only 1 missing... but which one, i thought i battled every gym in kanto now?

team didnt change in anything else than everyone grew up 2 or 3 levels since the last post

UPDATE:
Ok, i found out i forgot the fuschia gym, so i simply surfed there from seafoam island (where i had saved), healed and beat the gym.

she was incredibly easy, i solo'd her with meganium (even crobat couldnt stop it)

the rules say you're finished when you obtain your 16th badge so it seems like i'm ready now.

I believe so. But I believe in order to do Steel, you need an Onix, because Steelix is part of the evolution.

-Got all the way to Olivine, but then decided to go back to get some stuff.
-So I got Roar.
-And I caught a Natu, and called it "Omni".
-YAY TRAINING
-Omni evolved!
-Caught a Tauros and named it "Stonehoof" ( :3 ). It was sent to the box.
-Caught a Mantine and called it "WaterHMer".
-Went up the Lighthouse, and got sent to the pharmacy in Cianwood.

Well, I think in this case it would be possible to just catch an onix, and either use that all through the game along with a scyther, and trade in a metal coat if possible (and of course, if it isn't breaking the rules). :/ And then use magnemite and stuff when you get to that point.

Edit: Drawn, about the steel monotype and that guy/girl that wanted to take it, why can't he/she get a onix, trade it to another game, make it hold metal coat in the other game then trade onix back; there, now you have a steel type pokemon, steelix.And he/shee would be trading to evolve, so it wouldn't be against the rules.
