2nd Gen gold sprite issue

i have gold im trying to change my sprite color. i want my sprite to be blue. i edit and click the save. when i load the game on the vba my sprite is still red.

Go ask in the ROM hacking section or wherever this belongs. All I can say is that it doesn't go here.
