Are you sure? He kind of looks out of shape for an assumed pre-evolution. ;p

Anyways, I personally think that Gonbe looks cool, a lot of people say that he looks ugly, but he is supposed to resemble Snorlax, and Snorlax isn't exactly a pretty face. =P I personally like how he looks more then Snorlax himself! o_O; He will definitely be one of the pokemon that I will be trying to get first in the 4th generation.

I don't see much similarity except for the general color scheme. The eyes are completely different, and there are subtle differences in the ears, mouth, face, and body shape. I can see how they're related, but it really doesn't make sense to me having a prevolution to Snorlax...​


BTW, if it were up to me, I'd dub the little thing into Laxie XP​
 
Look at the two posts above you.

I find Gonbe and Snorlax to ahve more similarities than differences. I mean, look at Tyrogue and Hitmonlee, apart from the lower arms and hands, they don't look related at all.

I can't say Gombe is ugly, but I'm also not a fan of small, dumpy Pokemon. I think it'd be cute if he were really active then evolves into a lazy lardass, much like a kitten to a cat.
 
Gonbe ain't that bad. o.o; IT'S THE BEST. The poor little fella is getting kicked aside. ;-; -looks at some pics- o.o; It's jumping. I never saw Snorlax jump like that. :D The 'possible' pre-evolution I like.
 
Too cute, and it's exactly like Snorlax, but it's a baby X) But when the 4th Generation be complete, none will care about it... I think that will there is a baby Lapras and all the discussion about Gonbe will end... [/OFF-TOPIC]
 
Nah... there won't be a baby Lapras since Ash's is a baby. =P Unless the anime changes everything that happened from the second season.
 
But in an episode of the first season there was a baby Pikachu, and now there is Pichu. [OFF-TOPIC]
 
I think it is very cute. I really like the new Pokemon ^____^
 
I can't decide whether it is cute or ugly (Maybe it's ok...), but I find this Pokemon looking a little familiar to me (looks like that Studio Ghibi mascot? I'm not talking about Snorlax here, it looks different from it.)

Hm... looks like Gonbe is all famous cos its just NEW!!! PEOPLE WAKE UP!!!! THERE WERE MANY NEW POKEMON BEFORE AND NOBODY FLIPPED.... oh well what the heck......

to me Gonbe is... okay.... he looks like the pre-evolution of snorlax... and he looks.... fat.. and not cute or ugly.....

i have NO idea why ppl love him XD
