Hi, I am 14 and have a 7 year old brother. He is rather smart and wanta to get SoulSilver as I'm getting HeartGold. I totally support him, but do you think he's too young? Thanks :)

No, as long as you have basic reading ability and cognitive activity, then sure, you can play the games. It's so easy, a caveman could do it.

You're never too old or young for Pokemon >_^.

    EDIT: >_< double ninjaed

No. Age is less an issue than other issues.

    Maturity, humor, intellect.
My reading level went from a Grade 5 to a Grade 10 because Pokemon made me interested in reading. Also learned a bit about mining and oceanography as there were words/concepts in the games I felt like knowing of.

7 yrs old is a good age for Pokemon.
Maybe not for Pokemon forums. But that is more a parent/guardian issue.

I played my first Pokemon game when I was five. xD I don't think age is an issue at all.

I played mine at around the same age, and look at me know. (Well, you can't but you know..)
Pokemon ios a game suited for all ages whether your only young or old or even in between.

My first pokemon game was red. can't remember how many years ago that was... but I think I was like 5. He can play it, it's not a matter of weather he's to young or stuff like that

I played my Pokemon Yellow between the ages of either five or six, I'm not sure at this time. :/

Point is, it should be OK as long as you show him the ropes and such. It wouldn't be as much of an issue 10 years ago, but things are getting sorta complicated if you haven't played Pokemon at all up until this new release.

Nah, that's not too young. I started playing these games around that age, and things are much more user friendly now. You need some reading skills, but it shouldn't be too hard for him to figure out without being able to read all of it.

No. It's too complicated to press the arrows to move and press the A button to select things.

Duh, It's fine for him. It's not like there's math involved or anything...

hes old enough. I started playing when I was 7 or 8. I wasn't very good, and didn't understand very much, but I had a hella lot of fun!

As long as he can use a DS and read and understand simple instructions etc then he should be fine.

I started playing when I was 5. If you can read, you can play. As long as he can read okay and knows how to use a DS, it will be fine.
