Hello ... my daughter (7) recently became obsessed with this card game. Her favorite Pokemon is Lucario ... I suppose I like too. Anyway, she and her friends argue over this and that so I thought I would step in and play referee. The only problem is ... I really don't have any idea what to tell them. Hopefully all the answers can be found here.

    Cheers

Hmmm.... Well, that depends on what exactly they are arguing about. Have you checked the rulebook on the official trading card game rulebook?

Well, for starters ... I'm being told that any affixed energy cards are to be removed after an attack. For example, if the attacking Pokemon is required to have 2 energy cards attached to attack with, let's say tail whip ... after that attack the 2 energy cards are removed and placed in your discard pile. Does this sound right? If you can only attach energy card per round, it can take forever to get your mojo built back up to attack again.

The only time you ever discard energy cards from a Pokemon is either:

    a) to pay a retreat cost

    or

    b) because the attack says you need to discard energies from it.

You do not remove energies each time a Pokemon Attacks. Although, I haven't played in a while, so maybe the rules might have changed.
