I have an opportunity to get some great cards but I can only go by the picture. Were there ever 2002 legendary cards that are fakes? It a good chunk of money to buy them so I'm hoping to get some advice based of knowledge and on the picture.
    Thank you!

So, while two of those are potentially real (Charizard and Dark Blastoise, as that is the reverse holo pattern used in the Legendary Collection), the other 3 don't quite look the part. That holo pattern on Suicune and Espeon doesn't even remotely match what the E-Series sets had for their reverse holo pattern. And I'm 90% certain that shattered glass holo pattern used on the Charizard (a crystal type that was a secret rare) was not the pattern used on any crystal Pokemon cards.

    What was their asking price?

Thank you for you response. They said there are no fakes but the shattered glass raised my suspicions. There are 6 legendary charizard and 6 blatiosed. Which is why I needed to ask some professionals. I have been dealing with pokemon cards for over 12years but I still get scammed from time to time. I'm looking at about $1500. For all which is a lot of money right now. But if they are real it's totally worth it.

When in doubt , don't risk it. Fakes are all to common and if u have any reason to doubt the product id say dont swing. If they miss then no sale but if u miss ur stuck with totally worthless fake cards and the lose of your money since more than likely someone looking to scam u isnt only going to sweeten a deal with fakes but fake the whole order and keep any real cards to advertise again and scam someone else.

A good fact check is to ask them for a video of the cards. Some visual evidence will give u a better idea od what your buying. I too have been buying single across multiple games for many years and i only buy from reputable sources. No insurance, no deal.

Upon second look, I'm not sure the Charizard and Blastoise are legit either. Actually doesn't look like the foil pattern used on Legendary Collection cards.

This lot is not worth the gamble.

I think you may need to just teach yourself more about Pokemon cards if you've been collecting for 12 years and still get scammed from time to time, especially at the dollar amounts you're spending. I've been actively collecting for the same time frame and have never been scammed. I'm also not a professional, I just taught myself what to look for.
