I think I gave them enough time. It's now or never.
A figure burst down from the darkening skies--striking toward Evan with clawed hands. Then, the moment it struck, it flitted back and out of range. Amidst the growing shadows, the attacker was a mere silhoutte--an ever-moving, shapeless figure. Crouching down, the being circled swiftly about Evan as it slashed at Terra.
A strange fire danced in Aoi's eyes as his gauntleted hand contorted itself into a series of of positions. Though his movement was limited to the single hand, this movement alone seemed somehow fascinating . . . entrancing. At a sudden flick of Aoi's wrist, the fighter in the clearing responded with equal speed and violence.
Springing upward, it came down between Terra and Evan, smashing its robotic fist into the ground and consequently creating a cloud of dust combined with a blast of rubble. Ever true to its pattern, the moment the creature had completed the attack, it had moved back a sufficient distance from the humans and dog. Then, moving into a battle stance, the "puppet" at last fell still as it awaited a response from its opponents.
Brushing a strand of hair back with his ungauntleted hand, Aoi stood in silence as he viewed the events occuring in the clearing. Time to see if these two humans have enough strength to survive here.
