(a half an hour after fainting and having Cody peck me awake...)
Kenji, there are NO words to describe how i feel right now! Wow, i am gonna pass out (...again...)
Truly, you define good critism! From now on, when ever some one spams up my thread with lame crit or comments, i'm just gonna refer them to post #174!
(One minute while i take a breather!)
Now down to buisness!
1. My sprite has to be 64x64 and 16 bit... which leaves me a little less room and coloration than i would have liked. i can, and will, definitely darken the medium navy tone, or lighten the lightest.
2. Outline shading: i thought it looked a bit weird in some parts, but i guess you really pointed them out. (Thanks, thanks thanks!!!) For the tan and the navy, since i only have three tones of those colors, i can really only outline in those color's darkest tones... it's actually very frustrating! i'm very limited in the outline shading on the crest, which is probably the worst looking outlining anyways... i only have three colors to use for shading and outlining, not including black... same applies with the fins/wings... i'm not sure what to do about that...
3. the shading in the center of the body was also super hard. that has been my problem with milodos. i can't seem to get the tubular shading down. someone (i'm sorry to whom it was, but i dont remember) showed me how to shade tubes, or rather they modeled it, but i still have trouble on that shapes shaddowing.
4. the far right side of the pixel was actually a choice of the lesser evil. it was originally one large line, but it looked WAY to flat. so i gave it a bit more curve, where it did seem to step out a bit to far. But then i think the "Pointyness" comes from that one notch on the left of the segment. maybe by smoothing that out, it will loose the point, sharp look... and become more round.
5. as for the curviture of the body, i'll try it right off your model and see how it looks!
It may take me a day or two to redo this one, since i'm also making some other stuff at the moment, but mark my words, it will be redone!!!
Thankyou so much Kenji!!! I appreciate it soooooooooooooooo much! Your a great help, a great spriter, and a great friend!!!
