no, Stevo, i don't mean the crop tool, i mean erasing the little bits of white around the pic.
 
no, don't give up, you have potential. but make the bg's a little more interesting, just mess around with filters and stuff. Filter>Render>Clouds is very simple. :\
 
bilybob, your text is a bit plain ^^ (My area lol) lets spice it up.
Go to your layers box and x2 click on the text layer you should see a giant selection of effects. to start off why not add a drop shadow.
Click 'drop shadow' and now look. you have a basic drop shadow. Play around witht the effects for a bit and see what you come up with

3D effects? let's see... lol, that's gonna be a bit hard at your pace at the time right now... WolfWood's a better teacher than me at rendering tho, so maybe give him a PM.
 
kk. and anyone who i tought anything to, please give me rep. XD i know, i'm a hog. well, it's hard making all these tutorials, so i deserve something. XD
