Great moves for Sceptile in E4!

On the whole I don't like resting on a pokemon that can be taken out by one grass attack when fully set up. Getting (psuedo-) Hazed is also a problem

That's why you can always use surf...

But if it's a grass, you switch. You'll going to have chesto if you use rest on your set. =/

Celebi & Ludicolo is going to own you anyways.

He's only a "Beginning Trainer" because of the number of posts he has on PC.

Sceptile is easy to get a good moveset for:

Sceptile@Petaya Berry
EVs:252 Sp. attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Nature:Modest/Timid
Leaf Blade
Leech Seed
Substitute
HP [Ice]/Thunder Punch

That's a Sceptile!
:D

lol or just anything with more all special DAMAGING moves... it beats that one over on that first post lol.

No, he is a beginning trainer because he hasn't changed it yet.
Note how mine says "Elite Commando"?
That's because I wanted it to say that.

Sceptile@Scope Lens
Leaf Blade
Crunch
T/Punch
HP Psy

HP Psy is a SC Psn.

Spec sweeper with an attack supereffective to:
R, Gd, Psn, Ft, W, Fly, Psy, Gh.
Two of them (Psn/Fly) are SCs.

Blissey and Snorlax ruins your fun. =(
Leaf Blade+Scope LEns is fun but it's still not really worth it.

If you really want a SPsweeping sceptile, go with

@lefties
LeafBlade
Focus Punch
HP Ice
Thunderpunch

Focus Punch w/out Sub/Follow me/Spore = no hits
If you want a fight move use Brick Break, but I really don't think it is necessary.

2 probs for Focus Punch

1. Its Attack truely is horrible.

2. Its useless without something like Sub, because if you get hit directly, you flinch!

Here's my new moveset:

Sceptile Lv. 79@Blackglasses
Dragon Claw
Leaf Blade
Crunch
Substitute

Focus Punch>Brick Brick on SPsweeping sceptile. Ever heard of using FP on the switch? You need it since you get owned by snorlax and bliss. Snorlax and Bliss gets owned by you if you use focus punch on the switch.

Prediction is cool. =D

Its moves stink and its stats stink!

Anything more I need to say?

yeah and you honestly think swampert is much better, one leafblade(or any stabbed grass attack), ohko's it.

have you ever been down to ~1hp, had the petaya berry kick in, had overgrow kick in, and sweep? yeah tahts right though so. that alone does ~42% damage to most curselax's, and ohko's A LOT of things. hp ice pwns mence, t-punch pwns gyarados.

i didn't even get started with the whole "It wreaks havoc on bliss" thing yet. leechseed on blissey recovers about 1/3 of your health, which means free subs.

*grr*

You get owned if you have all Sattacks and without leech seed, which happens to be a set I was raging about. =D

And about the sweeping part, don't forget to mention it's speed. ;D

Leech seed basically lets u do damage against bliss/lax.
With the added bonus of extra subs.
sceptile has base 85 for attack.
Not that bad.....it could use FP if needed.
At least its better than a pure Sp. sceptile
