Yeah, I know what you mean. So much for letting his legacy rest in piece with his soul.

Another thing I hate is the way he's mentioned in so many rap songs, mainly by rappers that never even knew him. I find that rather disrespectful, I think they're doing it just for popularity.

It's name-dropping to sell more records. I really don't respect most of the gangsta rappers nowadays. What's with the 50 Cent movie?

Do you realise that the start of '97 Bonnie and Clyde Eminem "kills" Kim and dumps her body in a lake? Or do you find that sweet?

Eminem's first songs are pretty lame now, but back when they were first released they were outstanding. And they were unique compared to what popular at that time. But his music has evolved massively, and he has now become the best rapper, song writer and possibly producer in the world.

Dude, what I said didn't have any resemblance to Kim whatsoever. I meant the parts from the song like "Baby your da-da loves you, and I'maa always be here for you. No matter what happens, you're all I got in this world. I would never give you up for nothin. Nobody in this world is ever gonna keep you from me. I love you".

The communication between daughter and father is what I find sweet. I don't give a darn if Kim dies.

I really don't respect most of the gangsta rappers nowadays. What's with the 50 Cent movie?

I don't get to watch the 50 Cent movie cos it's R16....dangit.

Tupac is the greatest. He broke down barries for black rappers.
Biggie wouldn't be anything if it wasn't for pac
Biggie was on some of Pac's concerts

I don't think Afeni is milking Tupac for the money. Only two of the albums released after his death(not counting the 7 Day Theory) had assets going to Afeni and one of them was a soundtrack for Resurection so basically it was just Loyal to the Game. All of the others released after his death had most of the money going to Death Row Records and Suge Knight. I don't think Eminem is the best songwriter, he's good but not the best. Gangsta rap has always been violent, I really like how Nas raps in his songs about the gangsta lifestyle, he doesn't go out and say "I'm going to kill you *****es!" he raps about his actual life and that's different, in my mind Nas is the best lyricyst out of this group but what Tupac did will never be forgotten and that's what makes him great. Like I said before, he had two sides and wasn't afraid to show either one.

I've never heard Tupac, but I can assume he's good.

I think Eminem is pretty groundbreaking. He broke the mold for rapping and really started something new.

I haven't heard any of the stuff that came out when 2Pac was still alive. The stuff that's being released now is just odd.

Although it'd be interesting if they released a "chipmunk" record... hmm... *muses*

I don't think a chipmunk record would sound particularly good though. ;)

I say Eminem.

I chose Em because of how he adds a new meaning to hip hop. Its not all gangsta rap or any of that, and his music really reaches out to people..if not making them hyperactive then it'll do something like make them feel for it.

And his music just plain kicks a-double snakes.

My vote went to "Other" and that "Other" I would have to say is MIssy Elliot. Not because of her lyrics or songwriting, but for the doors she's opened. Her videos are quirky, strange, and downright weird. Something hip-hop didn't really have. Now you see other artists (Ludacris, Snoop, etc.) embracing the "hey, this is kinda neat to add different stuff once in a while!" deal.

I'm not really a fan of Missy Elliott (or, come to think of it, of rap in general) but she gets some respect from me because she was one of the first female rappers to really go mainstream.

Biggie all the way. After him I would say Wu-Tang Clan (do you count rap group?)

It's all good baby baby

Afroman! He raps about stuff other than violence drugs, cars, and women.

Because I got high! Because I got high! Because I got high!

Uh, getting high means you're taking drugs. o_o

Afroman has a song were he disses on about every single rapper that was popular at the time. He's just jealous that he's a one-hit wonder.
