Well we don't know...Green Day said they like the way American Idiot is going sales-wise and stuff, so they aren't too pressured about making a new album just yet, but there is talk~
 
well i got a hmv flyer and it said new studio album from greenday out on november 11.
this is in england so i'm not sure about america and other places.
 
Yes...That's Bullet In A Bible, and it's November 14th I believe. It's a DVD, not an album.

i don't wish to offend anyone but i found americain idiot slightly dissapointing.
i'll tell you why.in all their other albums insomniac,dookie,nimrod,etc they had some great tunes in them that didn't get stale no matter how many times you listened to them.americain idiot's tunes get stale much quicker then basket case,brain stew,hitchin a ride.
the reason why they have become so popular is because americain idiot reminded everyone how great greenday were and so everyone got back into them.#
please don't flame me for this post as i think it is a valid point.
 
Eh...I kinda disagree. The reason why they got 'stale' is because the radio, to my great dismay, DID overplay the songs...
I think American Idiot says a major point, but people are overlooking it too much. People even say "Oh, I'm so cool 'cause I'm an American Idiot!"
Billie's point was that American Idiots are BAD...People just aren't getting it.
 
true but americain idiot is by no means a bad album it's just that they seem to have stoped making great punk tunes and instead started using big rock riffs.
i think the best song on the album is the underrated "whatsername" at the end.
 
It does not suck >.< Although its the only aulbum i have listened to every song >>;

Dude it's so darn far from boring. The only reason people think it's boring is because no one understands what Billie is trying to convey...
...I, on the other hand, sat for about 3 hours every friday night trying to understand the lyrics. And yes, with the lyric book (I didn't know the lyrics by heart back then...Don't worry, I know it like the back of my hand now XD), and a dictionary in hand, I analyzed, researched, and learned. I respect it a whole lot more than most...

no i have studied the lyric book from front to back and i totaly understand. i think the lyrics are the best billie has written.
it is a very good character he is trying to convay about a guy who is fed up with life and all it complications and then blows his brains out in to the bay(to quote homecoming)i ment it is boaring in the music sense.the riffs are a bit samey and they don't seem to match the hights of dookie,insomniac or nimrod.i like the album and it's miles better then the rubbish cranked out by bands such as simple plan.
don't think i am one of those shallow people that throw away the lyric book to albums.i think lyrics are incredibly important to a song as they can make or break it.i hope by the length of this post you will understand that i am not some newbie who just got into green day because of americain idiot.they have been (and still are) my favourite band.so i hope you understand what i am saying now.and i don't wish to offend anyone.i'm just stating my opinion.:D ps.hey i even thought warning was good and barely anyone liked that:D
 
green day is like the best band ever (next to fall out boy!)!

St Jimmey- A few things...^^;;
1) There isn't a real explanation of the CD- The only "Official" one is what Billie Joe thinks. I personally have about 3 different versions. I also love the riffs off of American Idiot...
2) Hey! O_O Don't go bashing Simple Plan ;; They know Green Day really well!
3) Warning rocks my socks off! o_O
