Hello. I am Rújiā, and I'm new to this forum, and I'm no real veteran to Pokemon. I'm not exactly the most outgoing person, but I do try to make myself a good introduction when I meet new people or when I join a forum. In case you're wondering, the way to say my username is Roo-jee-aa to avoid confusion. However, I appreciate it's difficult to type, so just call me Ruj or Rujia.
I am British, although along the line my family does have some Chinese blood in it, and I was raised to be a Catholic. I've lived as a Catholic all my life, but I've always had a fascination with Eastern culture, and about three years ago, I decided to adopt Confucianism as a philosophy, but remain a Catholic. Basically, I live my life as a Catholic, but I take the themes of Confucian thought into consideration whenever I do something. I like it this way, and I feel so much happier than I ever have been. Some call it weird. I call it... Well, me. My two different views on life do conflict with each other occasions, but I usually find a happy-ish medium.
People describe me as quiet, clever, kind, shy and lonely. Some also call me weird and eccentric, but they don't hurt or try and upset me, so I'm fine with that. I usually try and make the assumption that everyone is good, when I first meet them, rather than going for appreshension and suspicion. I'm quite a clever person, but I'm not a genius or anything. I'm also quite good at martial arts, particularly Kuk-Sool-Won, a Korean martial art that incorporates many aspects of other fighting styles. It's not very well heard of, but it's very effective, and I feel it's helped me keep safe more than once.
I began playing Pokemon when I got Pearl, about a year ago. It was only afterwards I realized Platinum was an upgraded version, but once it's done, it can't really be undone. So I played on Pearl and I absolutely loved it. I lost quite a few of my battles to start with, but eventually I managed to get the hang of it, and I don't lose... Quite as much, anymore. I've always liked Dragons because of their prominence in traditional Chinese folklore, so I use them a fair bit in the Pokemon Games. I also use Fighting Pokemon, since I know fighting methods, I thought it was rather fitting.
So, make of me what you will. All I hope is that I can fit in here and hopefully make some friends. I also hope that I can eventually battle some people... So, until later, bye!
