Okay, so I just ran out and got my copy of Pokemon Diamond, it's great and I love it. I've already planned out my team and Arcanine is a member of that team. According to Serebii.net, you can capture a Growlithe in route 201 and 202 by having FireRed inserted into the GBA slot. So I paid a little neighbor kid five bucks to let me borrow his FireRed version until I capture a Growlithe. But, it's been a couple of hours now and I still haven't come across the stupid little thing. Is Serebii a reputable source? Or do I have to keep looking? Does anybody have any information for me, because I'm about to bust a cap in some fools. I'm stuck searching for a stupid Growlithe and my friends are already in the other cities and are getting a head start on me. This sucks and I need some reassurance that I'm not wasting my time.

Serebii is the most reputable source you will ever find. Just keep searching, maybe it's rare.

IMO you must have the national pokédex to use the GBA-Slot-Feature

you can always do the global trade thingy... maybe... I'm not sure if you have to be at a certain point or anything though (I don't have it yet :() and you can always egg it if you want it to be you as the OT.

Not sure if it'll work, but trying to help =P

Serebii.net is a very reliable source. Dont fret looking for Growlithe.

Your reason for not finding a Growlithe is simply because Growlithe is not a Shinou Dex Pokemon. It is part of the National Dex and therefore you'll need the National Dex before being able to see it.
