2nd Gen GSC - Monocolour Challenge - A New Type of Mono Challenge !

    Well , wondering what a Mono Colour Challenge is ?
    Well , you pick a Pokemon Colour ( for instance Blue ) . You can pick a Water type like Tentacruel anda Jumpluff of Grass Types ! Also , Shinies are not allowed ! If a Pokemon , for instance Hoppip , evolves and loses its colour (green for red ) it can no longer be used !

    RULES :
    1) It ain't a race ! Can take you 3 years to beat this challenge !
    2) Emulators allowed , for people like me who don't own a GBC .
    3) No legends , except for HM Slaves .
    4) HM Slaves can have another colour .
    5) Secondary colour allowed , like Lanturn's yellow and picking Mareep .
    6) Just have fun !

    okay, so more examples of this is using Pokemon such as Feraligatr and Poliwrath for color blue?

    Hey, 560cool. Just a thought, maybe link this in the description, so people can see the lists? It'd make everything a lot easier if you ask me.
     
    I'll take a black challenge, I just finished a Ghost monotype, so I'm even more into Gengar's than usual at the moment =D. Wait . . . would Gengar count as Purple or Black?

    wait, if i can't have a gyarados with white ("wings") or yellow (belly), i'll switch to pink, just because i wanna see Red being humiliated by a pink team, for ultimate lulz
    Bulbapedia's down atm so i can't really check whether i can use them or not, but i'd say i'll use these:

    - Wigglytuff
    - Flaaffy
    - Slowbro
    - Miltank
    About the last two slots i'm not really sure, i think possible choices here are Nidorino, Hoppip, Swinub, Jynx, Corsola or Venomoth... did i forget some?... i think i'll take Jynx and Venomoth here

    Started on Silver, chose Totodile, blah blah, caught a Jigglypuff, but forgot to give a nickname. Grinded to Level 9, Jigglypuff learned Pound. Deposited Totodile, went to Violet and beat Falkner on first attempt, even before entering Sprout Tower.

    Sidenote : What about Ditto ? Just a TimeCapsule thingy and you are all done !
     
    Ditto? I don't really like it, Transform always loses 1 turn and moves only have 5 PP. I prefer NFEs.
    Bulbapedia says Jynx is red, Nidorino is purple and even Venomoth is purple. Now the only Pokemon left that are obtainable before Kanto are Corsola, Exeggcute, Hoppip, Lickitung, Smoochum and Snubbull.
    I'm pretty sure i should't take another normal type into my team. So i'll look at the ones that are left.

    Corsola:
    + Nice Defences, Mirror Coat
    - Pretty limited movepool, would be the 3rd Pokemon on my team with a type disadvantage against grass.
    -> I already got Slowbro, which can do most stuff a lot better

    Exeggcute:
    + good defense, good annoyer movepool, obtainable pretty early
    - lacks speed to be used as an annoyer successfully
    -> In. Just because Hoppip and Corsola are even worse...

    Hoppip
    + better speed than Exeggcute
    - Hoppip is just too weak, anything would OHKO it, so it would fail
    -> No. Jumpluff might be awesome, but Hoppip isnt.

    Smoochum
    + Good Sp.A and Speed, early access to Psychic.
    - 15 base defense is lol, obtained late in game.
    -> In, Ice is always a good type to have.
     
    I sign up with yellow :D
    I' bee most probably taking Silver edition again :)
