    Okay, it's been a couple years since there was a challenge at a GT, and we're trying something new this year. A challenge that takes place in the post game setting of a Pokemon game. Something I really haven't seen before, mostly because it's unnecessary for most ordinary challenges. But, given the time frame, this should work out perfectly.


    GT11 Challenge

    This challenge will be performed in the Post Game of any Pokemon game. The goal is to defeat the Elite Four with a team entirely obtained and raised after the start date of the challenge. You may obtain your Pokemon through any means except hacking or trading with real people. In game trades are acceptable. Each member of the team must fill the roll of a certain theme.

    #011 - This is Get Together 11, after all. So let's use a Pokemon that fills Pokedex #011. This can be number 11 in any Pokedex. And obviously if the Pokemon isn't fully evolved then you are free to use the fully evolved Pokemon for that family.

    Kanto Dex: Metapod/Butterfree
    Johto Dex: Pidgeotto/Pidgeot
    Hoenn Dex: Mightyena
    Sinnoh Dex: Staravia/Staraptor
    Unova Dex: Watchog
    Central Dex: Diggersby
    Coastal Dex: Malamar
    Mountain Dex: Golem


    Rivalry - With the theme of this GT being competition, Rivalry seems to be an appropriate choice for one of the Pokemon on your team. This Pokemon should either be a Pokemon who has the ability Rivalry, a Pokemon with a "pair" (ie Electivire vs Magmortar), or any version exclusive Pokemon.


    Harsh Weather - For most of us, this means Summer right now, but for our friends down under, it means Winter! This team member should be a weather invoker of some sort, whether it be an attack like Sunny Day, or an ability like Snow Warning.


    ORAS - This Pokemon is based on the fact that a new forum has been added to Pokecommunity, as well as the announcement of the new remakes of the Hoenn games.


    Wild Card - To promote a wider accessibility with players who don't normally do challenges, we'll leave one slot open for a free choice Pokemon so that people can pick something they like or to fill out their type spread etc.

    For the time being, it's probably going to be better if Jak does the thread layout, as I don't have great internet access right now (though I should by the time GT starts). I can write the CSS and design emblems, just need to decide on what the emblems should be called and what they should look like.

    Emblem Idea
    Use some of the Pokemon that are 11 in their Dex to represent that this was the challenge for Get Together 11, maybe? I'm pretty good with names and descriptions too, if you need help with that. We'd just need a final emblem design for me to figure that out, of course.

    6th Pokemon
    Get Together promotes unity. How about a Pokemon that you get from a trade from another challenger? Or, in the sign up, include a fill-in spot for your favorite Pokemon and give it a moveset. The person that signs up next must use it, since it's something relating to unity. If the Pokemon is unobtainable or moves don't work out, it can be adjusted. I know that's having to rely on someone else though, so I can see where that wouldn't be the best option.

    And I'd love to do the thread layout. :) Let me know what you think of these ideas. I totally understand if you don't like the 6th slot very much. I'm just trying to think of things specifically for GT and that we haven't seen before in other events.

    Welcome to this year's Get Together Pokemon Challenge! Some of you are probably play Challenges a lot, and some of you probably not at all. But either way, this should be something a little new for all of you. Most Challenges are performed by playing a Pokemon game from start to finish. Well not this time! This week is way too short to ask most of you to try and play through an entire Pokemon game.

    I guess we should start a little farther back. For those of you who don't know, a Challenge is a self imposed set of rules adhered to by a player of a Pokemon game, usually of the main series. This Challenge is a little different than usual, though. This Challenge is performed in the post game of a Pokemon Game. This means that the game in question has had the credits roll already. That way no one who wants to play has to restart a game they've been playing a long time. So then, let's get to the rules! It's important to follow them all when playing in order to qualify for the completion emblem.


    Rules:
    1. All Pokemon on your team must have been caught or hatched on or after July 6th, 2014. You may catch or hatch Pokemon for your team, but may not trade or hack them in. You may trade or import breeders, but may not hack them.
    2. The Challenge is complete when you defeat the Elite 4 and Champion of your game's region.
    3. Your team must consist of members who fill each of the roles laid out in the next section, at the time you finish the Challenge.
    4. When asked about your favorite color in the sign up, say mauve to confirm you read the rules.
    5. Your Challenge must be completed on or before July 12th.
    6. All Pokémon on this list are banned from use in this challenge: Banned Pokémon in Battle Maison
    7. HM Slaves are permitted, but must not take place in any trainer battles.
    8. Trading is permitted for the purpose of evolution.
    9. Hacked ROMS are permitted.
    10. You must submit the following form before you begin the Challenge:

    Username: (only list actual user name)
    Game: (Any main series game)
    Favorite Pokemon: (For team picking)
    Favorite Color: (Just to confirm)

    Looks great. Only clarification that I think we would need is that if someone is playing a game where the favorite Pokemon of the person above them is not in the game, they should just contact that person for their favorite that is available in the game they're playing. Other than that, it all looks great and I'll make a prettier version to go in the CSS later (fonts and bolds and images and stuff cause I'm just soooooo creative lol).

    The gradient text maker I used to use wasn't working, unfortunately. :/ Or well, they changed things and I don't know how to use it now. Anyway though, I hope you like it. If there's anything you don't like, you're free to change it. I'm really excited for this!

    Some of us are experiencing a hot summer while others are having a cold winter! Any Pokemon who can invoke Sun, Rain, Hail, or Sandstorm whether by move or ability may fill this role. (Though we hope you're not stuck in an actual sand or hail storm.)

    Hoenn Confirmed!
    We wanted to commemorate the release of ORAS this year by including them in this challenge. Any Pokemon from the Hoenn Pokedex may fill this role. If you're playing on a Hoenn Game, this should be a Pokemon who isn't available until post game (like Metagross).

    Unity
    For this, you accept the favorite Pokemon of whomever signed up before them. I will be accepting Jak's favorite Pokemon and the next person to sign up will get mine.

    Wild Card
    This can be anything you want it to be! Use whatever Pokemon you've always wanted to use, or just use one you know is good. It's your choice.

    Oh my LORD I love the T-tar with Swablu because it's like you with the birdies. So precious. Great find there. For the completion, I'd go with the non-shiny. I'm shiny. :P Hehehe.

    But really love the participation emblem. It makes me not want to finish...that sounds terrible haha.
