What do you think about the hacked pokemon in GTS ? I think most of the pokemon are hacked and Nintendo needs to do something ..

While something definitely should be done if the Pokemon can be discovered to be hacked, it is difficult to verify that they are hacked when actually looking at the Pokemon's data. I know how to create hacked Pokemon and Action Replay codes for such, but I would never use them in the GTS. If you ever come across a Meloetta, Keldeo, or Genesect in GTS, then it's 100% sure they are hacked because they have not yet been officially revealed. When viewing other Pokemon's data to verify that it is hacked, however, the only way to verify it is if the creator made a mistake in creating it, such as forgetting to specify a language origin, hometown, or meeting place. Also, if it shows for the met date as "0/0/2000" that is a sure sign of being hacked. Overall, I do think something should be done, but doing so is, in most cases, rather difficult.

Yeah, I think it wouldn't be worth Nintendo's time, honestly. There's too many and they number keeps growing constantly. It's similar to TCG; the real collectors will take the added time to make sure they buy the right cards, but young kids will only go for the pictures without second guessing themselves.

yeah I totally agree. I never used hack and other rubbis. I play pokemon since yellow version. And Im really sad watching new players hacking and cheating these awesome creatures...

I agree. It's so sad seeing that people would hack Pokemon. Honestly, Pokemon lose there rarity like that and I think the whole point of the game is to spend time to get these rare creatures!

Cloning bothers me to an extent, too, but I still think its better than hacking.

It depends on what you mean by hacked. Do you mean Pokemon that could be legitimate or a blatantly hacked Pokemon? I don't mind receiving a Pokemon that could have been legit. It's only the truly hacked ones I have a problem with.

I think it's okay to receive a level 8 Pikachu with Volt Tackle that was hatched on Route 34 at level 1 as a Pichu and created by PokeSav or something because it could have happened normally. On the other hand, I don't think a level 8 Pikachu with BubbleBeam is okay because there is no way to for that to happen without cheating.

I don't think Nintendo can do much about it. If they did, GTS trading would be way more balanced.

Why does everyone keep saying that most of the Pokémon on the GTS are hacked? There are plenty of legitimate Pokémon on the system. You really only have to worry if you're trading for the more valuable ones (such as Legends, Shinies, etc) as they are the ones more likely to be hacked. It's unlikely that someone would even bother to hack something like a Solosis and put it onto the GTS.

I've never traded on the GTS. I went in there to see what would happen, but I was using my English White, which only has like...a bunch of Petilil. lol And they were offering like...a DW Leafeon and Glaceon I think. D; I just left, I would have felt bad if I offered Petilil for those. But anyway, I never used the GTS in Gen IV because of all the hacks, horrid names, OH AND YEAH I didn't have wifi. Buuut I don't really wanna use the GTS in Gen V either. I like getting people's FCs on PC and being able to make good negotiations and possibly get a nickname I desire. But I do agree that Nintendo should do something about those hacks, especially with that DNS glitch in the GTS on BW.

I dislike it when people trade Gameshark - hacked Pokemon.
What I never mind in games are in-game hacks, like the Mew Glitch in RBY or the Celebi glitch in GSC. if it's in the game, glitch or not, I dont care. But if it's like an AR/Gameshark code, then it gets annoying.

I totally agree. I hate it when you get offered a pile of Pokemon in Master Balls too - 'Oh, look at my legitimate Shiny Mudkip and Charmander, both in Master Balls! Not hacked, honestly!'

Aren't there restrictions for these such hacked Pokemon? If it is obvious that a Pokemon has the wrong ablity and or moves that they can not learn, wouldn't the GTS simply deny it?
