4th Gen GTS Problem

    When I connect to the gts i get kicked after exactly 8 seconds. This all started after i got a piplup from someone on the gts. When i turned on the game after receiving the piplup my game file was corrupt. Any ideas friends?
     
    What did the game say when you attempted to connect when it failed?

    What's the info on the Piplup?
     
    It was probably a hacked or glitched piplup.
     
    If that's true, then it's official, the GTS is even more corrupt than before, and it's best to stick with friends while trading.

    Hacked Pokemon does not make your game console/actual game lag or stop it from working. It's probably a network connection error. I doubt that the Piplup has anything to do with this.

    I agree. A hacked Piplup can't do any harm to your game. Probably you messed up something about your connection. Or maybe you turned your game off while you were saving (that usually corrupts the data, I think). Have you saved again after that?

    However, Missigno did cause problems to the game. I don't know why. It was just like any Pokémon. Or maybe it was the way to get it that did it.
     
    Yeah i saved the game tons of times after that. I have an empoleon now lol. But I still can't stay logged on to the gts. I'm going to try to connect to the gts at someone elses house just to see if my wireless router is giving problems. Would any of you like to trade me some pokemon? I don't have much to offer though :(
     
    No it happend to my friend. He got a Piplup holding Expert Belt knowing Hydro Pump and level 50 and it was modest nature. after he got it he got kicked out of GTS. He can't go on anymore so he had to start new game and everything. I call it the Piplup Virus. Be carefulof the Piplups you are getting. Or maybe just don't trade for Piplups.

    I have a Piplup from the GTS, and my game is fine and I can still go on it, I'd say it's network issues...
     
    Well, I have a huge huge HUGE problem with what happened to me recently on the GTS...

    Ok, so the past couple of days I've been excited because I finally got a wifi dongle...

    3 of the Pokemon I got from GTS are suddenly gone, and in their place is an egg...

    The egg's description is "Jan. 0, 2000. A mysterious Pokemon egg obtained in Mystery Zone. The Egg Watch. What will hatch from this? It doesn't seem close to hatching."

    What is up with that, because if that's this game's version of the bad egg ... I'm gonna have a freakin heart attack.
