    Does the GTS trade station prevent you from trading with yourself, or does it take a while (number of minutes/hours) before your deposited pokemon shows up for trade? I deposited a pokemon for trade on my pearl game, and i don't see it listed for trade on my diamond pack. Since i don't have 2 DSs this is the only way i can think of to get pokemon from my diamond to my pearl and vice versa.
     
    There are probably thousands of offers for a specific pokemon and the GTS only selects a few for you to see. I don't know the mechanism behind it, but I think the chances of you seeing your own pokemon from another cartridge is pretty slim.
     
    Here is a thought. Could someone look out there? I have a lvl 5 machop (male) and requesting a level 9 or under turtwig. Name is ToadPrl. Anyone See it?

    Yeah, for some reason, it doesn't show all 7 slots. Perhaps it's to keep some trades in reserve (they can't show the same pokemon by the same trainer for two different people on GTS, cuz that could get screwy). Try looking at the trades for just females, then for males, then for no specified gender. You'll see it doesn't add up.
     
    well straight from a nintendo support rep. You can not trade between packs using the same DS console system, as the GTS only looks at the WI FI ID on your system (commonly refered to as your MAC address) and not your Pal Code (which is a combination of your Mac Address and game pack). So I guess I will either be out of luck, or will have to hope someone will trade with me.
     
    at first you can only see 3 trades, once you complete a trade you can see 5, and when you have one deposited you can see 7. I think it shows the trades that have been on the longest first.
     
    I'd be willing to help you trade them around, provided that it didn't take to long, and that you think you can trust me, Ha-ha >=)

    I've gotten a trade snatched up by another trainer before, so that isn't it.

    It's interesting, though, since I remember someone saying that they managed to do that...

    Oh that's interesting. I thought they would've done something to keep that from happening.
     
    how come when i went there it said somethine about i am not connected. do i need something to put a pokemon in trade?

    aha! i get it now :P

    the GTS frustrates me, whenever i look for ANYTHING, all results are like "WANT A LEVEL 100 PALKIA" like c'mon, i searched for oddish, and they want a level 100 palkia? hmmm... at least i understand why i only get 3 now :P
