My team is pretty much based om mega sceptiles lightning rod. I normally use my 4 first pokemon. If i have a bad hunch i pick mega metagross instead.

There are 3 pokemons i have hand picked for my sceptile tactic. Sceptile him self, Thundrus and Cloyster. The rest is kinda ramdomly selected.

    Sceptile @ Sceptilite
    Ability: Unburden
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Modest Nature
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Focus Blast
    - Energy Ball
    - Protect

Use pure special because of sceptiles ability and normally protect at first round to scout for surprice ice punsh and so on. If i know i can oneshot it i go for it, if not i switch for my massive tanky cloyster.

    Thundurus @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Prankster
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Modest Nature
    - Discharge
    - Sludge Wave
    - Thunder Wave
    - Dark Pulse

Thundrus is mainy there for boosting sceptile as well as doing massive damage onto many of enemies. Picked choice so sceptile gain another special boost before his attack every round.

    Conkeldurr @ Leftovers
    Ability: Guts
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
    Adamant Nature
    - Mach Punch
    - Drain Punch
    - Rock Slide
    - Wide Guard

I dont realy know why i picked him.. i like him. :)

    Cloyster @ Assault Vest
    Ability: Skill Link
    EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpD
    Careful Nature
    - Icicle Spear
    - Rock Blast
    - Ice Shard
    - Razor Shell

He is tanky as Hell. But does very little damage. Mainly for a switch in for sceptile if he is threatened.

    Metagross @ Metagrossite
    Ability: Clear Body
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
    Adamant Nature
    - Bullet Punch
    - Iron Head
    - Zen Headbutt
    - Protect

Just something to go for if i got a bad hunch about sceptile. Rarly used.

    Garchomp @ Yache Berry
    Ability: Rough Skin
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Earthquake
    - Outrage
    - Rock Slide
    - Protect

Another one of my randoms. I dont know what to say.. his ground type is good if sceptile dies and Thundrus keep throwing discharges with his choice.

I am sorry for any misswriting. Wrote it on a cellphone with standard Norwegian keyboard.

Thank you for your time and for your tips. Cheers!

The unfortunate thing about Cloyster is if you invest in its (crappy) bulk, you don't have enough power. If you invest in power, it's frail as hell. It also really likes Shell Smash. Cloyster is one of those Pokemon that I think is better suited to Singles; once priority users are gone it can sweep stuff. So a better (Water type) Pokemon to tank Ice attacks for Mega Sceptile would be like Lapras Suicune or Assault Vest Azumarill or Wash Rotom or Alomomola or something.

As for Mega Metagross, it gains a lot of speed upon mega evolving and has fairly good bulk without investment. Something like:

    -Metagross w/Metagrossite
    Nature: Jolly
    Ability: Clear Body--->Tough Claws
    EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves: Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, Ice Punch, Earthquake/Hammer Arm

    would be better.

Also Dragon Claw>Outrage on Garchomp. It's less powerful, but Outrage randomly selects its target in Doubles, which could mean that it'll hit the wrong Pokemon when you don't want it to, and not being able to switch moves when you need to sucks.
