    Get-Together 12 Event Guide
    Event Guidelines
In order to make your event the best success and capitalize on our overarching Olympics theme, we have a few short guidelines for how to set your events up! This guide is most relevant to hosts setting up competitions, but could apply to community-focused events like the Skype Chat or Hangout events.

    1st, 2nd, and 3rd Placings
As the theme of this year's Get-Together is the Olympics, you'll naturally need to cater your events to be able to award standard first, second, and third place winners! You can go lower or include your own emblems to be given out, but the event will need those three top places to add to regional medal totals!

    An Olympics Theme!
This will not be required strictly as some events simply won't have a way to be Olympics-related, but consider mythology or Olympics-themed ideas when crafting your event. For example, the Mafia game that will be played will be themed with the likes of Zeus, Hades, and other Greek mythology! If you're hosting a writing event, the Olympics theme could work well with that. Do your best to fit the theme!

    Non-Competitive Events
These events are absolutely welcome! Events that are not geared towards competition are welcome as activities as the Olympics is not only a competition, it's also intended for relationship-building! So those ideas that lack a competitive aspect are accepted as well!

    Clear, Concise Information
Threads should also have a very clear introduction to the event and its rules (these can be two distinct headers or both under the same), specify the host(s) - the primary host should be posting the thread - and any other judges involved, as well as dates and/or deadlines for the activity/competition. Be succinct and clear simultaneously.
