GAT-X105E-Strike Noir

The GAT-X105E Strike Noir is a variant on the design of the GAT-X105 Strike, created by the Eurasian corporation Actaeon Industries for the Phantom Pain special forces and designed primarily for close combat. Very similar to the GAT-X105 Strike in appearance, the structural and design changes implemented by Actaeon Industries were intended to increase the units power efficiency and therefore improve its operating time.

Assigned to Phantom Pain pilot Lieutenant junior grade Sven Cal Bayan, Strike Noir is part of a special combat MS platoon with 3 or more other pilots, which include the GAT-X1022 Blu Duel and GAT-X103AP Verde Buster. The Strike Noir was designed to work as part of a unit, since basic Phantom Pain battle tactics do not allow for solo operation.

Like its predecessor, the Strike Noir includes hardpoints for Striker Packs and the Strike Noir was built with a custom Striker pack - the "Noir Striker". The Noir Striker is a flight pack equipped with a pair of linked railguns and a pair of heavy beam swords. In effect it combines the primary features of the original three Striker packs (the Aile, Sword, and Launcher Strikers). It also mounts a single rocket anchor.

The Strike Noir unit itself is armed with a pair of beam pistols, stored on the waist armor, and mounts small rocket anchors in its hands and feet. It can also carry a pair of larger grenade launcher-equipped beam rifles of the type used by the GAT-X102 Duel.


GAT-X1022 Blu Duel

In CE 73, an improved version of the Duel, the GAT-X1022 Blu Duel, is fielded as part of the Earth Alliance's covert Phantom Pain unit ("Blu" means "Blue" in Italian.). Unlike its predecessors, Blu Duel does not include separated external armor, and instead Assault Shroud-like components are built into the mobile suit itself. The Blu Duel stores beam sabers on its legs, a beam pistol on its left forearm, and a "Stiletto" anti-armor penetrator in a compartment on its right shoulder. The right shoulder also mounts a shield and a railgun. It is assigned to the same squad as the GAT-X103AP Verde Buster and GAT-X105E Strike Noir


GAT-X103AP Verde Buster

In CE 73, an improved version of the Buster, the GAT-X103AP Verde Buster, is fielded as part of the Earth Alliance's covert Phantom Pain unit ("Verde" means "Green" in Italian). The Verde Buster is similar in armament to the original Buster, except that the gun-launcher and beam rifle are mounted to fire over its shoulders, and a pair of additional hand-carried beam rifles are stored on its hips. While the shoulder-mounted weapons cannot combine, the two hand-carried rifles can form a large beam launcher. These rifles also include bayonets for close-range defense. It is assigned to the same squad as the GAT-X1022 Blu Duel and GAT-X105E Strike Noir.

Meh, they look okay. At first I didn't like the idea of another Strike rehash, but the Noir came out looking great.

I hated SEED because, well, bad mecha design for most of the Mobile Suits.

Same goes for Strike Noir... eww... wing/swords? Gimme a break...
However I do like Verde Buster's Virtual On-esque eye gear.
