Sure, there's probably only a few anyways. Plus, if they did like Magikarp, chances are, they would like Gyarados too and Magikarp is the pre-evolved form of Gyarados, so why not.

lol I got a Squirtle not realizing how easy it would be to get a Gyarados early in the game. :(

But, I do love this pokemon. It pwns my Wartortle.
