well, actually arceus is impossible to obtain w/o hacks


but are you saying that stat hacks are ok then? because hacks make everything kinda frustrating for those of us who actually train. i just started ev training a little over a week ago and already i hate stat hacks

yeah, hacks like all stats 999 are not alright. also move which they cannot ever learn.
 
if theres anything i hate more then hacked pokemon.its stat hacked pokemon.I dont work my butt off ev training my pokemon just so they could lose easy to somebody who enterd a code.its kills the whole meaning of the game.and thats bad for all

you absolutley right. its not fair. well hacking a rare pokemon just to get its dex enrty is ok in my opinion.
 
I hack for Pokemon I can't normally get [I only have Leafgreen, Pearl and no Wifi connection within three hundred miles of here], so I have no problem with them. I mean, I catch them at level three and have to train them still! It's not like hacking a Pokemon means hacking Perfect IVs and AutoShining as well, people.

In fact, I've never hacked a Pokemon and found it Shining. My only two are a couple of Pigeot...

What?! And where did you base this logic from?

It's wrong, I could hack a whole team and still have them EV trained and max IVs, But I choose not to, it's way more fun to actually train them in pearl.
 
I don't care, to be honest.

Yeah, it's kinda a cheater's way out, and whatever, but people who can't get to Nintendo download events to get Rare Pokemon such as Deoxys in FR/LG, and who don't have Wi-Fi access will probably NEED to use Action Replay etc to get some of the rarer Pokemon. I myself have cheated to rare Legendaries such as Mew in the past. It doesn't bother me if you fought me with a pokemon you caught that way.

HOWEVER.

Using cheats to boost your Pokemon's stats to abnormal levels, and to grant them infinite health, and other mischief DOES grate me. To cheat that way is just lame, and it takes the challenge out of things. It's just...kinda pointless. >_<
 
It really depends.

If it's for a person who wants a pokemon and can't get it, I say "Yeah, alright..." as long as it's not super, uber, ultra, mega strong thing. That's unfair.

If it's for a pokedex entry for a pokemon that they can't get (such as, say, if in R/S/E, I can't remember Deoxys, Lugia or Ho-Oh ever being in a shopping center. I live in Australia, and I don't think we got many events...), I'll say "Yeah, okay!". It's okay, since they can't get the event.
Unless, of course, they can't wait for the event and do it before the event. I say, wait, since, if I can wait 7 weeks for Diamond and Pearl to get to Australia, you can wait as well...

But, If it's for a team so they can 'pwn' everyone in their way, I'll frown upon them. It's not fair against people who don't have Action Replay or GameShark (such as myself, since I can't get it...). People should spend time raising them, and it's cheating.

Cheating is bad, when done in the wrong ways. Enough said.
 
I really don't care if the pkmn is hack but what I do care is if the pkmn has hack moves and stats, I really don't like that
 
It depends, If you hack the Event Item to do the event its still a legit Pokemon with a hacked item to do it its OK, If you do this its NOT OK

My insight:

TRADING:
I. Don't. Care. Infact, if I traded off a Pokemon, and I got a hacked one, then that'd just mean that I wouldn't have any guilt for taking away a Pokemon that some bloke spent hours training. Mind you, I don't actually have Wi-Fi... But even though I'm okay with getting hacks, I know others aren't, so I definitely wouldn't trade hacks. Unless it's just for data. And not over the GTS.

Battling:
This one is different. If some guy is fighting me with uuber stat-hacked Pokemon, I'm going to be forced to track him down and beat his butt so hard, he'll need to be in a full body cast for several months. I EV Train my Pokemon and raise them to level one hundred myself, and I don't hack in their stats, so it makes me angry when others do. ((Although I do have to admit, I have SOME assistance when EV training...)) However, if they just hacked the Pokemon in and didn't do anything to the stats, I really don't care.

In-Game: Frankly, my dears... I don't give a spam!

I hack all the time in-game. I hacked in all three Regi's ((due to a lack of them on my Emerald for various reasons)) so I could get Regigigas, on whom I used a shiny code. I hacked the items to get Arceus, Shaymin, Darkrai, I hacked the Manaphy egg, I've hacked a shiny Vaporeon in the trophy garden... I hacked a shiny Bonsly. And a shiny Sneasel. And I've only got them for personal use, so I don't care, and nobody else should either. End of story.

i don't play online cause my ds haets my modem, so i guess it doesn't matter to me if other people hack. i'm a loner and only play pokemon single player anyway o.o and i don't hack. so other peoples business is their business.
 
It actually really depends.

I hack. I use my Gameshark to obtain Pokemon I could never get in a gazillion years xD. Such as Mewtwo, Jirachi, and some other regular Pokemon I cant obtain 'cause of lack of GBA games. Such as Slowpoke.

However there are those who hack to max out a certin stat of a Pokemon or all of it's stats together. That..I dont like. Nobody likes that.

Im fine with some forms of hacked Pokemon..but not all =3
