Hardest E4 champion?

i'd have to say steven, but my hardest E4 person ever would be drake in hoenn

although, the second wave of gary was pretty difficult too

I think steven was easy to beat in ruby because of Groudon or Blaziken in my team.

I'd say the rival in FR/LG is the toughest, and his well mix of different types.

Cynthia gave me the toughest time, but Steven definitely was difficult with his team being so well put together.

I found Gary was quite eazy. His Blastoise and Arcanine was eazy, cause i had a Traded Ludicolo from emrald.
I also defeated his Pidgeot quite easily cause i had a omastar, i didn't use Electric pokemon cause he will use his Rhydon to defend, Omaster is rock/water so i defeted Rhydon and Pidgeot, Now only 2 to go, wich is his Alakazam and Exeggutor. I used my Murcrow to defeat Alakazam, And i used my Charlizerd to beat Exeggutor(eazy, my Charlizerd was Lv 69).

I Eazily Beated Wallace with my Manectric. Eazy!

I would have to say Gary in the originals. He didn't have a type focus like the latest champions. His 6 pokemon were all different types, unlike Lance, Steven, etc. It makes you have to be more prepared in which pokemon you bring and how you play him.
