has anyone got a mew from mypokemon ranch via Wii? did it take ages? i'd really like one, but i've never met anyone whos attempted this method, any brave trainers complete this mission? oh and does anyone know of better alternatives?

i couldn't find this in the FAQ

I know a few people who have gotten it, yes. I haven't gotten it myself though; been a bit too lazy to get 1000 Pokemon to transfer over I suppose, even if I've used Ranch a decent amount. It would take a while (more so as you can only use Diamond or Pearl for it, not Platinum unless you are in Japan and HGSS is not compatiable with Ranch anywhere), but if you say rely on chaining Pokemon via the Pokerader it's not too hard to get the numbers. Just timely. As a rough guess, Pokerader used casually on low level Pokemon (easy to catch with Ultra Balls or the like), a catch every minute on average roughly...that gives 60 Pokemon an hour, 600 in ten hours, and in seventeen hours 1020 Pokemon.

I don't see much more discussion on this pertaining to the main fourth gen games (DPPt/HGSS) which is what this section is about, so I would close this given Ranch is not part of the main games. But I feel a discussion on if people used Ranch and indeed if they got the Mew from Ranch would be neat to have, so I'll just bump this to the Spinoff Games section we have, in which Ranch disucssions belong in. Because yay Ranch! =p

Will changing the time on the Wii affect it? If I understand correctly, there is no limit to storing Pokemon each day.

Anyway, I own no Wii, with that I confess. However, my cousin who has a Pokemon Ranch on his Wii, managed to get the Mew. He did it by cathcing Bidoofs and Starly on Route 201. He did it in five days i think.
