    I just found this image (https://imgur.com/CtxHohV) which is making rounds on the internet at the moment. It shows the pattern that Gamefreak use when marketing at the beginning of a pokemon generation using the movies and games. I think that this guy could be right, and if we see Zygarde in December it probably means the next game up is Pokemon Z (or XZ/YZ I guess)!

    The source at the bottom is pretty interesting too, it's a bit out of date at the moment but shows what CoroCoro (a japanese magazine which always gets the exclusive news first) has revealed all the way back to the third generation:

    This is a really cool thing to point out. So, tl;dr game released -> movie trailer -> movie info -> next movie's trailer -> new form revealed -> new game with new form in story. It seems like a theory at first glance, though closer observation shows that this pattern is indeed true, and is even proven in previous generations. This is honestly a good find, and a theory that could end up being confirmed. It's very likely that it could indeed happen :p

    Also the movie idea about Zygarde and Volcanion. I keep getting thoughts about Yveltal being the Destruction Pokemon and all that. Since it's a destroyer of things, I keep imagining Yveltal bringing an end to Kalos' ecosystem, and Zygarde fighting it to bring it back.

    Yeah, it looks like it goes:

    -New games
    -Box Legends movie (with first secret pokemon: Darkrai, Victini, Diancie)
    -Trailer for next movie with third box legend
    -second secret pokemon and new form revealed
    -new game

    I guess the movies are a marketing strategy for the games after all. But even though this is consistent back to gen 4, gen 3 was different as Fire Red and Leaf green came out before Emerald! So who knows what will happen this time.

    I was wondering about that too. The thing is, Yveltal and Xerneas are already the stars of this years movie, and Xerneas is the perfect counter to Yveltal, life vs death and all that. So I think if that Yveltal appears, Xerneas will have to as well, and Zygarde will be cleaning up the mess that both of them made while fighting (a bit like gen 4).

    But the nature vs power plant thing in the picture was interesting, I never noticed it before but it kind of makes sense. It could be a pokemon take on clean energy and global warming and pollution etc. I don't think Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde and Volcanion would ALL feature in a movie together, that'd be too many 'big' legends all firing laser beams at each other. But a secret legend HAS always been each film (apart from the ones introducing new generations) and they probably wouldn't do a hoopa movie before a Volcanion one as it comes later in the pokedex and would leave everyone with an annoying gap for a year. So I think maybe the pic could be right.
