Issue: Has my old username PowerfulSquirtleKeeper been used or it is kept?

    This is something that took my mind, because as you see...
    [PokeCommunity.com] Has my old username PowerfulSquirtleKeeper been used or it is kept?

    This account was my old user name, but :

    Are my previous renaming names kept or not?

    This is a good result of trying to save it...

    So, is it kept or somebody wanna cheat my personality? It's not like I'll switch again, but people might think it's me!
     
    Well, according to the members list, no, no one else has taken it.

    And actually, I noticed the same thing with all my past usernames, as well as the previous usernames of other members when I tried to make dummy accounts for them. On the other hand, I was able to make a dummy account with the username someone had as a past username (and was marked on their "Previously known as" list, which is how I know this).

    I even checked the members list myself, and as far as I can tell, no one had taken the usernames I had tried to use :/

    And I doubt this has anything to do with changing usernames and a DBE occurs. 'Cause even with some of my name changes (Zuzu to Yuyuko, for example), I can't create dummy accounts with those usernames.

    Wrong, you can still use your older username after 4 months if
    you're not a supporter, or 3 months if you're a PC Supporter.
     
    Thanks everybody, that was a relief. (Although I won't change. Just wanted to create a dummy.)
     
    For future reference, if you're concerned if whether someone has a username that you had before, or would like to change to, you can go here: https://www.pokecommunity.com/member.php?username= and fill in the username= part with the username. Like, if you wanted to go to my profile, it'd be https://www.pokecommunity.com/member.php?username=Aladdin.

    Anyway, when changing a username for a member, the administrator can make that name "disabled" for a year. That is, they can change your name back to it, but users can not register to that name and I don't believe they can change their name to that, either. Its as if that name is "embedded" to your account for the year.

    When the year is up, however, its up for grabs if you didn't change back to it.
