I agree with kyledove. Kanto was boring. Its routes were bland and far too uniform. They had no uniqueness like sinnoh and hoenns rainforests, deserts, Volcanoes, Lakes and ice fields. All kanto had was forests, grass and path. The routes were tiny, and had about as much imagination as an earthworm. That was understandable in Gen. 1 but the blandness remained in FRLG.
The caves in Kanto, and Johto as well (bar ice cave) were also boring with no distinctions. If you saved in one of them, didn't play for ages and loaded, you wouldn't be able to tell where the **** you were.
Oh and the cities! unimaginative, empty and just too boring. Compared to locations such as Fortree, Canalave, Pastoria, Jubilife, Slateport, Lilycove, Rustboro, Veilstone, Sunyshore, Snowpoint, Sootopolis and Ecruteak. They all have a unique feel to them, like most cities ITRW do. In kanto all the cities just seem to blend into eachother, which isn't helped by the fact that they are so close together.
Kanto needs to be in the game, because it would be taking well over half the game away if it wasn't, thanks to the puny size of Johto, and i dont mind kanto. As long as they instill some imagination into it like they appear to be doing with Johto, then im completely happy.
