Have you ever lost an in-game battle.

    The only battles I think I lost are Rival battle 1-3 the first time around on RBY.
    2nd Rival battle on GSC.
    Sometimes Champion battles on the first E4 run.
    I may have lost to Whitney once but I'm not sure probably did.

    Gawd, Whitney was a pain. So was Fantina actually, but I swept her with a Misdreavus eventually :3

    Other than rivals and gym leaders/Elite 4... not unless you count running out of PP for your attacking moves against a Metapod with only Harden on Yellow a defeat? :3
     
    Oh wow...I'm sure I lost a couple of battles way back when, when I was a little kid. But it's been years since I lost an in-game battle. I can pretty much beat the gym leaders, my rival, team bosses, and Pokemon League people on my first try.

    I think the last game on which I lost an in game battle must have been on my Gold version...I think I might have lost against Whitney (BECAUSE OF HER MILTANK).
     
    All of these are first times through on a game. I knew better my second+ runs.

    Gym Leaders; Brock, Misty, Whitney, Chuck, Roxanne, Brawly, Wattson, Norman, Winona, Tate & Liza, and Roark
    Elite Four; Lorelei, Agatha, Karen and Glacia
    Champions; Surprisingly, none. I knew my strengths at that point. Not saying it wasn't hard to do, though.
    Regular Trainers; Chick with the Milotic in Ruby/Sapphire when you're going to Lilycove.
     
    Hmm...

    Gold: I lost against that Bug Catcher right before Violet City. Keep in mind this was my first time playing a second gen. game, and my starter was Chikorita. Actually, I didn't lose to him, but his Weedle poisoned my Chikorita, and since I had no Antidote and no other healthy Pokemon, I -technically- lost.

    I also remember losing to a wild Pokemon in Cinnabar Mansion, since for some reason I had no clue how to get out, I left my Digging Charmeleon in a box, and all my Pokemon were KO'ed except for my bulky Nidoqueen. Which only lost because it was using Struggle.

    And in American Plat., Cynthia. I wasn't exactly well-prepared for her, to be honest >.>

    Oh, and I've lost against various members of the original first gen. E3/Champion MANY times in Yellow. Never in Red, because I always used the glitch thing XD
     
    Yes, I have. I still do even on multiple playthroughs.... I only lose to Elite four and champion in RBYFRLG. I lose to Whitney, Clair, Morty, Red, and lance in GSC. I lose to Steven, Wallace (only in Emerald), Drake, Norman, Juan (only in Emerald), Tate&Liza (only in Emerald), Winona, and Wattson (only if I pick treeko) in RSE. And I lose to Elite 4, Cynthia, Fantina, Maylene, Candice (only in Platinum), Cyrus (first and last battle in Platinum only), first Jupiter and Mars battles, and the Rival fight in Pastoria (if I forget to heal) in DPPt.
     
    Usually just to gym leaders. The only other time I can think of is if I'm not paying attention and I just keep clicking the same attack.
     
    I've lost battles to most gym leaders and E4 members, as well as the occasional rival battle. Other than that, I can't recall losing any trainer battle...
     
    Fantina was hard! Wow! I lost like 5 times to her!
    But, I usually only lose to the E4 or something like that.

    If I ever lost to 'Junior Trainer Joey' I'd kick myself.
     
    It's kinda sad but I wasen't prepared and I let crasher wake beat me. I had to go get a roserade to ensure victory, pathetic I know.

    Also, my first file on Sapphire was kinda...messed up. I lost my first rival battle (forgot about that in the first post here) a fair few times because I swear to Buddha that Brendan's Mudkip had Water Gun.
     
    Yeah, I can't think of anything offhand, but as a kid, I'm sure I lost plenty. Been playing since I was about 8 so....
     
    For the most part, the only battles I ever struggled with were a gym leader here and there and sometimes the Elite 4 if I was too lazy to train properly beforehand.

    However in Platinum I was losing ALL THE TIME even against really simple trainers. <_< There was such a skewed critical hit ratio in my game--everything would get crit hits against me. It was so frustrating and absolutely ridiculous. :(
     
    I remember always struggling on the later Gym Leaders, but I don't remember losing. Lucian in Platinum got me because he stalled me out with his Bronzong. I probably could've won, but I didn't feel like walking into Cynthia's room without any PP, so I let Bronzong kill me off.

    I swear I haven't lost a fight in Silver Version, yet.
     
    I think we've all lost at least once.
    I know I've lost sooo many times.
    To E4 members/champions.. Probably around 15 times, all versions combined.
    To Gym leaders.. Maybe about 10 times, all versions combined.
    To Team Rocket/Aqua/Magma/Galactic members/admins/leaders.. Uhh.. Maybe 5 times.
    To Rivals.. About 10 times I guess.
    To normal trainers/other trainers.. 15 or so times.

    I may be way off on those estimates, but I honestly can't remember all the way back to the time I got my first Pokemon game nearly 8 years ago.
