  • Spoilers for those who haven't read the latest Wheel of Time book!

I've just finished the amazing book Towers of Midnights in the Wheel of Time Series. I rarely doing things like poetry but there was one scene that really touched my heart and it was when a wolf called Hopper died. I decided to make a tribute about the moment.

The one that already was dead once
And then had awoke in the world of dreams
As he in the dream could fly around and bounce
As the life is repeating its theme

He who soars like the wind
He who wants to fly like an eagle
As the Slayer put on his grin
As his arrow in its chest dingle

From a distance as his friend saw it all
His mission completed but in sorrow
As his friend said his final call
As his friend would be no more tomorrow

As he realized his weapon wasn't adequate
He grieves the lost of his fallen master
As he returned to the real world's gate
He knew he had to work faster

Making a new hammer at the forge
For the hammer is not only a weapon of war
He decides to name it He Who Soars
For his friend who's now beyond afar

He follow the tracks from where the Slayer have been
And he knows that he will follow him till the end
Times passes and The Last Hunt begins
To avenge the death of his fallen friend

I think I've heard of the Wheel of Time books, but never read them. So I can only critique a little on this.
The rhymes, as well as the half-rhymes, were pretty good. And I liked it's smooth flow. Wasn't the least bit difficult to read.
And even though I haven't read the books, I still like the story in this poem. Very wonderful and dramatic.
Sorry, but that's all I can review. Though I really hope a Wheel of Time fan comes by and reads this.
