4th Gen Heart and Soul... A bit lame?

Since the titles with Heart and Soul relate so much to Lugia and Ho-Oh, then I wouldn't be surprised to expect it there.
 
Yes, I certainly do like the names. ^_^ After reading some of the explanations in this thread, I've only grown to like 'm more.
Without a doubt I'm going to try to get my hands on Soul Silver, just because my "bond" with Silver is much more special than with Gold.
I'm really happy that they're making a remake of the games that managed to capture my heart whole. Crystal is still my favourite game, and no region was better for me than Johto.
To be honest, it was for the first time since the announcement of Emerald, that I was truely happy to see a new Pokémon game. (I've never been a Sinnoh fan...) =/
 
Plus, the names bring a different feel to it, other than it being simply gemstones, or minerals.
 
They are original, I mean they did better job with it than FRLG, but that is just me.
 
When I first heard them, I thought the names were a joke, and hoped they weren't final. xD;

Now I've gotten used to them, so they're okay.

I think the 'Heart and Soul' concept is neat, yet for some reason when you put 'Gold and Silver' after them, it still sounds a bit lame, in my opinion.

I strongly agree. Although I do think Soul Silver sounds pretty cool.

Heart Gold is a cool name as well but I think I'll still need time to get used to the name. It sounds kind of weird at first.
 
Soul Silver is the only one that seems to sound more smooth. Heart Gold has a little rough edges to it. Though, it did seem hard to believe in at first, but now things are coming to place with it all. I also thought that it would have changed over the time, but apparently I was wrong, and it is here to stay.
 
Yeah, agreed. Just saying it "Soul Silver" it sounds so fitting, so smooth. While Heart Gold also is fitting, it does sound a bit eh saying it at first, I am a fan of it though. Gold was the one I got first so that is the one I will probably end up getting first simply because thats how I fell in love with the game. That seems how many people are basing which one to buy of their first version. Majority seems to be Silver though which is pretty sweet. :)
 
THey did give Silver a better name, but at least they didn't steer away from meaning to them.
 
Should have just been Pokemon Soul and Pokemon Heart.

I personally like the names a lot. Heart Gold is the only one that sounds slightly strange when I say it out loud.
Soul Silver just.. fits, very well.
 
The name PKMN Heart and Soul would have been a little too simple. Plus, it's missing the reference to it being a Gold and Silver remake.
 
I think that they should have done what they did with fr lg and name it something that has to do with the game or keep on going with the gem theme

The titles actually do have a relation to the game as Heart has been referred to Ho-Oh before, and Soul has been referred to Lugia as well.

Yup, they defiantly have. In the series and its also been displayed in the original gold/silver as well.
 
I like how the names actually have a thought behind it. They are fine for me.
 
I don't really care, I'm just glad the remakes are confirmed.
 
... It just doesn't feel the same as Firered or Leafgreen... Not the same *click*. It's okay though, I'll give it that.
 
Soul Silver definitely clicks. While Heart Gold does sound a bit weird at first, you need to keep in mind the phrase 'Heart of Gold'. It's used a lot. Then it clicks just a little bit more when you say it, I think.
