Well, I am definitely not a new Pokemon fan, been playing since Silver, but I am newer to the competitive edge. Growing older, I realize that it's not just nostalgia value that attracts me to the games, it's the fact that you grew your own little family of friends and people. There are lots of Typhlosions in the virtual world, but dangit, this one was mine! I raised it like it was truly with me and spent many hours in youth challenging Lance to get my best friend to 100. I got out of it over the years, which I regret, but every time I saw a post or a video about it, a part of me said, Go back. This is what you love, and do. So last September 2013, I bought X and Y, and was ashamed of myself for not going back! It's not just a kids game, it's so in-depth, with all the battle strategies for each team, and I realized how many generations I missed out on. I know this community is strong, child and adult alike, and I hope to find many good friends in you, as I did my Typhlosion back in the day :)

Hello there Iglu, welcome to the poke community forums, I hope you enjoy hanging around here :)

Thank you :). I love the animation in your .GIF in signature. My favorite scene from the anime is in the new X-Y series when Blaziken jumps off the roof. Not that Blaziken doesn't kick a ton of ass anyways, but he's just so epic looking in the anime.

I noticed you joined three years ago, but hey never too late to make an introduction! Really nice to see you here by the way, Iglue!

I definitely have to agree that Pokemon is a franchise for all ages, and most people seem to not know that, thinking it's always a kid's game, but I know how many adults are still into the games today and they still have as much fun as the kids. And great to see X/Y made you get back into the franchise, hopefully you plan to get OR/AS soon and maybe also catch up on the other games you missed. There are some stuff from past generations that are definitely worth playing, and it can show you how much has changed during your time away from the franchise.

And hopefully you can stay active this time, even if the forum has changed a lot since you originally joined. However, we're still just as friendly today and we're always happy to accept you as a new friend. Feel free to leave a visitor message or friend request my way whenever you are interested! And I hope you have a nice weekend as well. Cheers!
