Hi there, welcome to the forum! I'm an adult pokemon player too. I wouldn't say I am a genwunner because my favorite region is Hoenn (generation 3) but I do like Kanto, with my favorite Pokemon being Dragonite, and I replay the older gens.

I love dragonite! my all time favorite is missingno even though i understand its not a real pokemon but it is a wonderful freak of nature. otherwise mew and swampert. do you like the original or remakes better of hoenn?
