Help editing the menu scripts

    Okay, I want to do quite a couple of things to the start menu.

    I want to make it so that unless a certain flag is set, that the trainer card appears completely blank, as in a white image with nothing else on it. I want it to load images that look like the trainer card and eventually do after a certain flag is set.

    I also want to edit the stuff that the menu says (IE: Instead of [player] on the menu have ... as the name but still have it function normally and show the trainer card when selected.)
     
    The way you're mentioning ''flags'' makes me think this is ROM hacking.
    But I'm not sure, if it is?
