i am wondering were i can catch a Febass, my guide book says to look in that one route between mauville and some other place and says to go to some lady and chang a password or something. were do i go to do that and were is a really good place to catch Febass?

The guide book is slightly wrong. Make your way to Dewford and talk to the guy in front of the information hall, and set the Trendy Phrase. Then, Fly to Fortree and start fishing with a Super Rod along Route 119.

The trick is, Feebas only appears in 6 of the water tiles along Route 119. This means you'll have to fish in every single square until you find one. Using the Super Rod, the only other thing you'll find is Carvanha. Go to one square, fish up about 2-3 fish, if none of them are Feebas, move on to the next one. The best way is to move around the water one square at a time, something like this...

Regarding the Trendy Phrase, if you mix records with someone, it changes. This also changes the location of the Feebas tiles, meaning you will have to find a new place to fish one up.

So yeah, a lot of patience is needed, but it's worth it when you get one.

I believe Toothache is right on this one. Good luck with catching Feebas, but this thread doesn't belong here sooo, 'tis closing time. :O
