Hi! I'm trying to make a rom hack of my own and I want to make large maps, but with AdvanceMap I can only fill two tileset of 128x256 and it's not enough for all the tiles i want to insert. Is there a way to insert more than that or I'm doomed?

The standard tileset size is the maximum that can be loaded at once by the GBA engine as far as I know. It's certainly the standard in the vanilla games and I haven't seen anyone expand it in any way.

I wouldn't say you're doomed, but there is not a way to expand the tileset size to my knowledge.

    Well, thanks anyway T.T
I tried changing the size of some buildings to make more space and I was thinking of placing my tiles in 8x8 squares instead of 16x16 like I was doing to maximize my tileset. XD

You can also design your buildings to be symmetric to utilize tile flipping which can save a lot of tiles.
Or you can split your map into multiple connected maps with different tilesets like Emerald's Battle Frontier.

Hi, sorry i didn't answered before u.u I was trying those ideas XD. Thanks for that. But it leads me to another doubt, how many new maps can i insert in pokemon Emerald?
