4th Gen Help, I'm confused.

Hi. Basically, I'm a pokenoob. Heart Gold is my first proper pokemon game (other than mystery dungeon). I'm really confused on how to evolve my Kadabra. He is level 39 at the moment, I caught the Abra at level 10 and it evolved into a Kadabra. I read somewhere that you need to trade to evolve it into an Alakazam but I don't know what to do :(. Could someone please help me?

Grab a friend who has a PKMN game.
Go upstairs in the PokeCenter.
Tell your friend to do the same.
Trade it.
then trade it back.

Trade it to someone else and it'll evolve. However, the person you traded it to now owns the Alakazam, so he has to trade it back to you.
You can get help in the Trade Corner of these forums, but be careful of shady users running off with your Alakazam.

It's that easy? cool.

The only friend I have that plays this can't access online for some reason. He says that it's something to do with his wireless..

Could someone then add me and we can trade it?

Alternatively if you don't have someone to trade with but have wifi do this.

You don't have to use Wi-Fi. You can also use local wireless.
If your friend's local wireless is broken, then LOL, how did that even happen.

edit: Local wireless is accessed from the second floor of any Poke Center, and Wi-Fi is accessed from the basement.
