    i need help with my current deck im creating to get back into the tcg world, i have 4 cards im not so sure should be in a modified deck the cards are

    chansey ex
    blissey ex
    espeon ex
    pidgeot from FRLG

    are these cards allowed in my modified deck????

    No, they are not.

    Any card that is in these sets or reprinted in these sets from an older set is tournament-legal right now.

    It's either rotate sets in the modified format to keep the card sales as high as possible (collectors are still the core of their market, though) or have organized play die/be poorly balanced because an old card from 5 years ago that hasn't been printed in 4 years is dominant in tournaments. One thing Nintendo's been really good about is flooding the TCG Organized Play format with support cards that are good in pretty much every deck to keep the prices of those cards down. The most common way they do this is with League promos.

    Some of those cards may fetch a pretty penny on eBay, though, if they're in mint/near mint condition. I'm too busy to do a search on that for you right now, though.
