3rd Gen Help me, please.

    I am speaking of course, about Pokemon Emerald. (Not sure why it would be of course, but bleh.)

    After obtaining the super rod, I have NEVER caught a single fish, EVER.

    At first, I would register the super rod, hit select, and just continue to click for hours on end, getting no other message but "not even a nibble." I later realized if I held down select I'd get the "...." and sometimes would get a "bite," only to realize it gets away the moment I pull my rod up. What am I doing wrong?
     
    You have to wait till it says "oooh! A bite!" the press the A button really quick. Then it'll go back to the ... and you have wait for that same thing to show. Sometimes there's like 3 repetitions of that before you actually battle the pokemon.

    If you push A when only dots are showing it won't work =/
